Role Purpose:Responsible for the organization-wide Business Strategy, Operations & Business results.Role Profile:- As CEO, you have the overall responsibility for creating, planning, implementing, and integrating the strategic direction of the organisation towards enhancing value for stakeholders.- As a technocrat you maintain a constant awareness of the competitive landscape and industry developments that could enable expansion of the organisations target markets, customer base and technological capability. Your business acumen enables long-term financial viability of the organization. - You take total accountability for top-line and bottom-line targets and provide prompt, thorough, and accurate information to keep the board appropriately informed of the organizations financial position.- You are a key influencer in the organisation and effectively manage strategic well as operational priorities by managing relationships senior leadership as well as function / business heads in the organisation.- As a Vision Holder you promote a culture that reflects the organizations values, promotes innovation, encourages good performance, instils accountability and rewards productivity.Responsibilities:BUSINESS STRATEGY- Develop a strategic road map for the organisation that encompasses multiple organic & inorganic growth opportunities across target industry sectors.- Set the direction for Product Development function to develop a futuristic target product portfolio for the organisation considering in-house technological capabilities as well as opportunities for outsourced/acquired capabilities & cost- benefit analysis thereof.- Evaluate technology/business partnership opportunities and enable bringing them to reality- Develop a 3-5 year business plan for the target markets that ensure attainment of company growth goals and profitability- Closely work with the Strategic Finance Team for fund raising requirements to feed the organisational growth plans.BUSINESS OPERATIONS :- Oversee the organisations fiscal activities including budgeting, reporting & auditing.- Develop and implement operational policies that ensure consistent achievement of quality and sustainability standards across all businesses.- Manages capital expenditure to ensure feasibility and return on investment.BUSINESS BRANDING :- Set the direction for building the brand equity of the organisation.- Represent the organisation at industry meetings, trade shows, and other forums that create visibility for the organisation as well as establish its image as a manufacturers of world-class fine & speciality chemicals.BUSINESS NETWORK MANAGEMENT :- Build & nurture a business network that includes key clientele, critical suppliers and other business partners- Leverage on business networks to create value for the organisation in terms of business, product & technological opportunities.CULTURE MANAGEMENT :- Cascade the vision, mission & values of the organisation- Mentor the next-in-line leadership team for actively contributing towards achieving the organisations growth targets- Work closely with the CGO to develop and deploy people management systems that promote cross-functional teams and a performance oriented culture.Experience :- 25+ years of experience with minimum 5 years in a senior management position which entailed P&L, Balance Sheet & Cash flow Management responsibilities.- Previous experience in Speciality Chemicals / Pharma Manufacturing sectors with business head / function head responsibilities that include two or more of the following: Business diversification, New product development , Project management , R&D , Sales & Marketing, Commercial Operations or Supply Chain management.Qualifications :- Bachelors/Masters Degree in Engineering (preferably chemical engineering / chemical technology)- Additional qualification in business management is preferred Expertise & Skills- Business Acumen & Strategic Capability- Contracts Management & Negotiation Risk Management- Results Orientation- Innovation Management- IT Savviness Interpersonal EffectivnessAbout the company:The organisation is a chemical technology driven company,
