This includes managing customer complaints, conducting customer satisfaction surveys, and building long-term relationships with customers. Market Intelligence: The Area Sales Manager should be aware of the latest market trends, competitors, and customer needs in the assigned territory. This includes conducting market research and analysis to identify potential opportunities and threats to the companys business. Sales Forecasting: The Area Sales Manager should be able to accurately forecast sales for the assigned territory. This includes analyzing sales data, market trends, and customer feedback to create realistic sales forecasts. Budget Management: The Area Sales Manager is responsible for managing the sales budget for the assigned territory. This includes creating and managing the annual sales budget, monitoring expenses, and ensuring that the sales team operates within the allocated budget.
