Job Description

    Assistant General Manager - Operations and Maintenance (O&M)Overview:The Assistant General Manager (AGM) - Operations and Maintenance (O&M) plays a critical role in overseeing the day-to-day operations and maintenance activities within the organization. This position requires a strong blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and strategic management to ensure efficient and effective functioning of facilities, equipment, and operational processes.Roles & Responsibilities:
    1. Operations Management:
    • Lead and manage all aspects of operations within the organization, ensuring adherence to operational standards and procedures.
    • Oversee daily operations to meet production targets, quality standards, and customer requirements.
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
    1. Maintenance Planning and Execution:
    • Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance programs and schedules to ensure optimal performance and reliability of equipment and facilities.
    • Coordinate preventive maintenance activities and inspections to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
    • Address emergency maintenance issues promptly and efficiently to mitigate operational disruptions.
    1. Team Leadership and Development:
    • Supervise and mentor a team of operational and maintenance staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
    • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
    • Promote teamwork and collaboration across departments to achieve organizational goals.
    1. Budgeting and Cost Control:
    • Develop annual budgets for operations and maintenance activities, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and financial targets.
    • Monitor expenses, analyze variances, and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising on quality or safety.
    • Forecast resource requirements and optimize procurement strategies for equipment and materials.
    1. Compliance and Safety Assurance:
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies related to operations and maintenance.
    • Implement and enforce safety protocols, procedures, and training programs to maintain a safe work environment.
    • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential risks and implement corrective actions as necessary.
    1. Project Management:
    • Manage projects related to facility upgrades, equipment installations, and process improvements.
    • Coordinate project activities, resources, and timelines to ensure successful completion within budget and scope.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to achieve project objectives and deliver results on time.
    1. Performance Reporting and Analysis:
    • Prepare and present periodic reports on operational performance, maintenance activities, and project milestones to senior management.
    • Analyze data trends, identify operational inefficiencies, and recommend solutions for continuous improvement.
    • Utilize performance metrics to drive decision-making and optimize operational processes.
    1. Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Build and maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders, including senior management, department heads, and staff.
    • Interface with external stakeholders, such as clients, suppliers, and regulatory agencies, to address inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure customer satisfaction.
    • Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and forums to promote company initiatives and enhance brand reputation.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field (Masters degree preferred).
    • Proven experience (10 Years) in operations and maintenance management,
    • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of industrial equipment, systems, and processes.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks, manages multiple projects, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
