The teams scope covers all of PayPals businesses globally, encompassing 250 million active accounts in more than 200 markets. The Team is part of the Global Analytics and Insights Team, reporting up through the CFO organization. The Sr Analyst, Consumer & Merchant BI role reports to the Consumer & Merchant BI Manager, and is a high-impact position with exposure to PayPals product team across regions and functions. The person will be responsible for collaborating with multiple data, technology, and business teams to design new business intelligence solutions and optimize the global portfolio of existing BI solutions. The role requires strong analytical skills, and the ability to work with stakeholders across geographies, and enthusiasm to learn and grow.Primary Job Responsibilities:Manage the data architecture for multiple BI solutions with focus on automation, accuracy, and performance. Streamline and manage ETL for BI dashboardsDesign and build BI dashboards in short timeframes via rapid prototyping and agile developmentApply advanced visualization techniques to reveal business insightsPerform rigorous data analysis to proactively identify any inconsistencies or data quality issues. Provide recommendations for improvementsDevelop a strong understanding of different data sources, and strategically implement data flows for robustness and scalabilityDemonstrate ability to translate business questions into structured analysis and data analytics into business insightsWork to improve the day-to-day activities of the analytics team with technology and automationJOB REQUIREMENTS:3-5 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, strategy or related functionsMinimum 2 years of QlikView/QlikSense design and development experience, with preference for Qlik NPrinting experienceMinimum 2 years of experience using Advanced SQL on Teradata through SQL Assistant toolStrong analytical skills including experience, familiarity, and ease with analyzing large, multi-dimensional data setsExceptional communication and collaboration skills to engage with multiple stakeholders and different teams to deliver BI solutions efficientlyHighly motivated, result-oriented self-starter who enjoys working in a fast-pace environment. Proven ability to function well independently as well as in a teamData driven mindset with degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics or Economics.
