Job Description

Today, Alstom in India employs close to 3000 people and in line with Government of Indias Make in India policy initiative, Alstom has been investing heavily in the country in producing world class rolling stock, components, design, research and development to not only serve the domestic market, but also rest of the world.Alstom IS&T is ensuring for the Alstom businesses the build and support of a large portfolio of global business solutions in several functional areas.The Support Applications Operation Manager reports to the Support Function & Global Solutions Platform manager and is accountable to running & maintaining all business applications in his/her portfolio (a group of solutions related to Support Functions Business). With strategic partners, he/she will ensure the availability and the performance of the applications in his/her scope.Reporting to the Support Function & Global Solutions Platform Manager he/she will:Be the main point of contact to ensure the continuity of the service for applications in his/her scopeLead and manage the maintenance activities in coordination with external partners for his/her applications. Ensure availability and performance for applications in production at optimized costs, according to the business needsControl performance through KPIs, with Operation Service Agreement and Service Level Agreement, ensuring they are met by the partnersDrive the level 2 and level 3 support activities for his portfolio of applicationsDeliver enhancements in the applications, in line with business requirements and priorities. Lead Change Requests (planning, estimation, coordination and execution)Coordinate with Partners, Service Team (MSI), Business Users for Incident Management and Change managementDaily, weekly and monthly operation reviews with the partner selected for Application Management ServicesOrganize with Business stakeholders and business key-user the performance review meetings for his/her applicationsManage relationship with editors and ensuring level of support from themManage conflicts and be the escalation point of contact for KUs/BusinessPermanently control the level of business users and key-users satisfaction for his/her applicationsIdentify and propose Continuous improvement initiative to improve services efficiency (as for example the drive of overall ticket volume decrease)Prepare the reporting data and dashboard for the operation activityParticipate in Projects Go-Live planning to ensure operational readiness, prepare transition to runThe challenge of the position is the accountability of the performance of critical applications for Alstom company, by having both IT technical skills and good functional knowledge. He/she will have to interact with many stakeholders in the functions and metiers of ALSTOM and with all the IT partners of Alstom in order to manage the issues and conflicts when critical events related to the applications in his/her portfolio. Very good communication and negotiation skills are mandatory.Position will be based in Bangalore.
