JOB PURPOSE & SCOPE:Overall country performance management for India Consolidated, including supporting the Country Management team with the Financial Planning and Budgeting/Forecasting exercise, monthly performance review and analysis;Expense management for all Segment, Products & Functions for India Consolidated. Responsible for Month end close, GL substantiation, MI Support to Country Management team, review and challenge of cost allocations, Cost planning, budgeting and forecasting activity.Other Banking Segment reporting including Treasury Markets (ALM Finance) overview and reporting across all Financial PnL, B/S, Costs, RWA and Non Financial metrics.Other Areas like Priority Sector Lending, competition benchmarking & peer reviews, SCB Employee Trusts related reporting requirements, etc.Partner with local, Regional and Group Business / Country Finance teams on India strategy, performance issues / opportunities.Scope of work to include Standard Chartered Bank ( SCB ) Branch and governance oversight of all SCB subsidiaries in India.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Performance Management:Responsible for supporting the Country CEO, CFO, Management team and ASA CFO and PM teams with MI and analysis of the Management results of SCB India and the India based Group subsidiaries; including providing mid month estimates, month end MRC close, financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and to liaise thereon with external auditors and RBI.Responsible for Expense accounting and reporting for SCB India and other India based subsidiaries of Group for all Business (Except RB, PvB and WM) and Function leads CMT and their teams in providing analysis of their cost base, prepare and support in the forecasting and budgeting activities, review and challenge cost allocation drivers and methodologies, support with monthly MI and analytics on the cost moments across various account lines and variances to budgets, forecasts, YoY, MoM, etc.Extend end to end Finance support to the Treasury Market Desk within Financial markets including overseeing Daily ALM PnL, month end close for TM Desk, liaison with Product control, support Business, Business Finance and BSM Team with FTP related nuances, undertake performance review and analytical support tasks for TM Desk P&L/BS/RWA forecast, Budgets, Corporate PlanResponsible for review and reporting of the various components of Other Banking segment (including TM) activities including providing mid month estimates, month end MRC close, financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and to liaise thereon with external auditors and RBITo support the Country and Group Balance Sheet team with F=M recon, projections for ICAAP, Stress testing, etcResponsible for preparation, review and consolidation of Management Packs like CMT, MBR, other Adhoc group packsSupport the Regional and Investor relations team with commentaries and variance analysis on the Country performanceProvide market intelligence on key competitors performance and highlight any changes in the competitive landscapeReview the activities of the GFS supports at periodic intervals and impart the necessary training or guidance to them to come up the learning curve to enhance and improve the offshore support that they extend in all production and analytical activity under Expense managementSupporting the CEO and CFO with any other adhoc analysis and project related supportResolve management accounting issues and implement Group policies stated in the Management Accounting manualsEXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:A mature finance profession with relevant experience in financial services industry.Experienced in corporate banking products, booking models, accounting treatments.Sound understanding of international accounting standards requirements, business analysis techniques, risk management methodologies, project management techniques.A high degree of integrity and ability to challenge the views and actions of others in a constructive manner.Ability to handle multiple tasks with tight deadlinesAbility to assess and guide stakeholders - wearing the CFO/CEO lensShould be a resilient, self starter with well developed communication & inter-personal skills,
