Job Description

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead a team of mechanical engineers in Danfoss Cooling RAC RD & E , responsible in deliveries of the Design and development of mechanics for the product lines in RAC.
  2. Lead the team to translate design concepts into realistic products that meet customer requirements, budget and time line requirements.
  3. Lead the PDM Excellence team delivering upon both local and global requirements.
  4. Must have a high level knowledge of geometric tolerance and is capable of performing tolerance stack up calculations.
  5. Must be responsible for Designs of RAC product lines (Cost, Manufacturability, Serviceability, Standards & safety), DFMEA
  6. Must be able to perform effort estimation for mechanical design based on requirements.
  7. Bring innovation for time to market reduction and within the cost targets.
  8. Develop and maintain contacts with relevant manufacturing facilities in and around Chennai.
  9. Learn and comply with product development process and design standards of Danfoss.
  10. Work closely with manufacturing engineering to move products from design to manufacturing.
  11. Participate in project reviews to ensure that project deliverables are met.
  12. Life cycle support for all products designed out of India R&D
  13. Support RAC India RD & E Leadership in setting up a state -of -art test facility.
  14. Should be able to leverage engineering partners and consultants for the best benefit of India RD & E
  15. Responsible for people development and administrative activities for Mechanics function
  16. Cross f unction al collaboration t owards meeting organizational common goal.
Working Exp. More than 10 years of experience in handling design & product developments Minimum requirements to educational background
  • Essential: B.E (Mechanical Engineering)
  • Desirable: ME on CAD / CAM (or) Engineering Design
