Job Description

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead a team of value engineers in Danfoss Cooling RAC RD & E, responsible in deliveries of the cost down design changes for the product lines in Refrigeration and Air conditioning and Industrial Cooling.
  2. Lead the team to translate design concepts into realistic products that meet the quality and product specification as well as cost down requirements, budget and time line requirements.
  3. Must have a high -level knowledge of Project Management and People Manager combined with Mechanical Engineering knowledge.
  4. Must be responsible for Designs of RAC product lines and Time to Market (Cost, Manufacturability, Serviceability, Standards & safety), DFMEA
  5. Must be able to perform effort estimation for mechanical design based on requirements.
  6. Bring innovation for time to market reduction and within the cost targets.
  7. Develop and maintain contacts with relevant manufacturing facilities globally.
  8. Comply with product development process and design standards of Danfoss.
  9. Work closely with manufacturing engineering to move products from design to manufacturing.
  10. Participate in project reviews to ensure that project deliverables are met.
  11. Should be able to leverage engineering partners and consultants for the best benefit of India RD & E
  12. Responsible for people development and administrative activities for the Value Engineering function
  13. Cross functional collaboration towards meeting organizational common goal.
Working Exp. More than 10 years of experience in handling design & product developments Minimum requirements to educational background
  • Essential: B.E (Mechanical Engineering)
  • Desirable: ME on CAD / CAM (or) Engineering Design
