Partner with stakeholders (e.g., marketing) to build and continually improve/optimize PayPal s marketing initiatives and programs Role comprised of both technical acumen, but also coordinating with the marketing lifecycle teams, and doing meta-analysis on the various marketing program holdouts Will the owner of developing foundational analysis of Owned Channel Marketing Measurement & Marketing Program Lift Evaluation Identify key metrics, conduct rigorous explorative data analysis, create executive facing dashboards and build business cases that drive decision making and business prioritization Participating and collaborating with cross functional teams in the organization to understand the business requirements and to deliver solutions that can scale. Ability to create models to pull valuable insights from data. Ability to use creativity to spot trends and tease out patterns in large datasets. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to effectively communicate data insights to project team and leadership and negotiate options. The selected candidate for this role would be expected to have the following skills:

  • Marketing Analytics & Data Science professional with a proven track record of extracting and manipulating data using SQL & Python and leveraging advance Tableau and Microsoft Excel features for data analysis in a fast-paced global technology company or a startup.
  • Hands on professional who can perform deep dive analyses on key business trends from different perspectives and package the insights into easily consumable presentations and documents. Assures accuracy, integrity, and compliance of cleansed data.
  • A strong articulate communicator with business acumen who can work efficiently and effectively with key stakeholders across multiple teams and geographies to define and produce business metrics and insights within a given time frame.
  • Works with the business to understand the business domain perspective. Effectively tells stories with the data using visualization tools/methods to demonstrate insight impact and business value.
  • Someone who pays attention to detail and is intellectually curious to make the extra effort to understand the underlying causes of business trends
  • Maintains proficiency within the data science domain by keeping up with technology and trend shifts
  • Collaborates and communicates with project team regarding project progress.

About the Role

Basic Qualifications
  • SQL, Tableau and Python skills to extract & manipulate data
  • Marketing Analytics Hands on experience
  • Understanding of the Marketing Measurement concepts - Universal Control Group/Marketing Campaign & Program Holdout Design, Baselining, Forecasting, DoD etc
  • Familiar with data movement techniques and best practices to handle large volumes of data
  • Strong Exposure to A/B Testing, Hypothesis Testing concepts.
  • Strong stats knowledge exposure to stratification concepts
  • Modelling knowledge -while not necessary, exposure to uplift modelling concepts will be a plus.
  • 4+ Years of work experience in the field of Data Management/Engineering or Marketing Analytics
Education: -
  • Bachelor s/Master s in Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics or Mathematics
  • Master s degree would be valued
