Job Description

Specialist Offshore IN, Chennai | Professional | Full-Time | ID: 15371Vestas is the world leader in wind technology and a driving-force in the development of the wind power industry. Come and Join us at Vestas!Blade Launch & Execution Center -> BLEC Launch & Execution -> Blades Service Center ManagementBlades Service Center supports the Blade segment with both internal produced blades onshore/offshore and involved in activities in relation to external produced blades with approx. 130 employees based in Chennai The Blade Service Center consists of 5 department ranging from Operational Support, Non-destructive Testing (NDT), Product Requirement Fulfillment (PRF), Tech Transfer, Training & Intelligence, Mould Process and Tooling Engineering.ResponsibilitiesAs Offshore Specialist you will have direct reference to Head of Blades Service Center and primary responsibility will be:

  • Support on the blades offshore integration
  • Support and implementation of MHI Production based ERP and Quality Assurance Systems
  • Support on Engineering Change Management System
  • Performance Reports on production performance metrics within Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost
  • Ramp and Product launch Support to new factory (Taiwan)
  • Play a key role in the future system migration from MHI systems into Vestas systems
Qualifications
  • Fulltime Engineering Graduate in any of the following stream Mechanical / Chemical / Polymer / Material
  • Minimum 10-12 years of experience out of which atleast 5 years in Composite processing or manufacturing of large-scale structures
  • Quality assurance - APQP4Wind, VDA, ISO 9001 Auditor
  • Relevant Six Sigma Certification
  • Experience with Change management / Intend Based Leadership / Situational Based Leadership
Competencies
  • Safety Management, Stakeholder Management, Process & Product expertise, Process documentation, simplification, and standardization, Business Insight, ERP Systems (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics), Value Chain Understanding, KPI Understanding
  • Self Motivated , Structured and ability to Supervise and be a collaborator .
  • High level of Presentation skills - Oral and written - able to adopt content to target audience
  • Associate and Execution on the 4 Vestas Values
