Job Description

  • Support Global Procurement team with Cost modelling of various Wind turbine components and provide necessary inputs on Raw material, Manufacturing Process, Machinery, labor Cost, Overheads and other Cost drivers to support supplier negotiations.
  • To provide VA/VE inputs and ideas to sell solutions to reduce waste across value chain and improve efficiency at reduced costs and to provide Engineering inputs for New Product development projects
  • To lead on Cost out projects in External / Internal factories individually & also as a team
  • Identify & Drive Cost out initiatives by collaborating with Stakeholders for successful implementation
  • Meet Cost savings target for individual and for the team
  • Work Closely with Stake holders and keep them updated on the progress of projects
  • Presentation of technical material to peers and management
  • To update and maintain the Data base for International RM price, Labor Cost, Machinery etc.,
Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical / Production Engineering with MBA is preferable
  • Minimum of 16 years of Techno commercial experience with Strong Manufacturing & Costing Background.
  • Sourcing Knowledge will be an added advantage
Competencies
  • Strong Technical skills with Manufacturing Process (Foundry / Machine Shop/ Fabrication and Welding/ Electrical components like Trafo / Switchgear/ cables etc.,
  • Connect data across value Chain to identify Potential cost out opportunities
  • Sound knowledge of Market Cost data related to Manufacturing, Material & Labor across Key manufacturing locations
  • Strong Negotiation skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good Presentation skills on techno commercial matters to Management and Stake holders
  • Working Knowledge in any of the should cost software (Costimator, Apriori or any other should cost software)
  • Basic working knowledge in Creo
  • Holds self-accountable for delivering results and also should be an excellent team player
  • Fluent in English (Oral & Written)
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Working Knowledge on SAP
  • Must have the drive and enthusiasm to work to tight deadlines
  • Be able to work across time zones and work with globally diverse cultures
