The Position Who we are Roche has established Global Analytics and Technology Center of Excellence (GATE) at Chennai to drive analytics & technology driven solutions by partnering with Roche affiliates across the globe. Key Responsibilities The Sr.Technology Analyst will be responsible for overseeing Healthcare / Pharmacy data quality and perform remediation activities. All Roche employees are expected to effectively contribute to cross-functional collaboration and coordination and comply with all laws, regulations, policies & procedures that govern our business. As a Sr.Technology Analyst, you will: Proactively maintain comprehensive knowledge of sales and claims data and other healthcare/pharmacy datasets, structure, meaning and intended downstream usage of any other data source as needed Directly perform and/or oversee the analysis of data acquired into data warehouse using coding or software to profile and standardize the data Analyze stakeholder reported data issues, performing root cause analysis, and identifying and implementing appropriate remediation. Work on the Python / PySpark code enhancements. Create, Execute and maintain the Airflow DAGs. Develop dashboards in QuickSight / Tableau. Coordinate with external data vendors to address any data issues, questions and problems in accurate and timely manner Analyze new requests for data, identifying the appropriate datasets, and generating database queries and summary data outputs for stakeholders Have understanding of quality assurance and data quality principles Develop process improvements for data management and data quality activities Documenting processes and maintaining data records Handling of queries from stakeholders and resolving them. Required Experience, Skills, Qualification 4-6 years of previous experience working with key pharmaceutical/bio-technology data assets like Sales, Claims and other secondary data. Demonstrated experience with data analysis, profiling, data cleansing and standardization Process Excellent SQL skills to query database to perform data analysis to further enhance business analysis. Strong understanding of database concepts and the advanced ability to query data using SQL Knowledge of Amazon S3, EC2, EMR, QuickSight, RDS. Hands-on with Apache Airflow DAGs. Knowledge on AWS QuickSight / Tableau. Ability to demonstrate strong Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivots and macros Demonstrated ability to rapidly adapt to changing project and strategic requirements The position requires strong analytic and organizational skills, the ability to work independently, a high degree of expertise in data management/data quality practices and ability to manipulate data Ability to work independently and collaborate with colleagues to accomplish team goals and deadlines Education Bachelors or Masters Degree (computer science, engineering or other technical disciplines) Who we are At Roche, more than 100,000 people across 100 countries are pushing back the frontiers of healthcare.
