Job Description

Technical Skills Needed

  1. You have more than 5+ years of experience in many of the following areas.
  2. You will be a member of a global team, that helps securing the implementation of API management. You will report to the Manager of IT Integration and your working location can be flexible within India, preferably Chennai. You will support our API product owners in API Design, Prototyping and Testing.
  3. Design, prototyping and testing RESTful APIs
  4. Understand business and technology needs
  5. Expert with Open API specification and best practices for RESTful design
  6. Create API Design following open API specification 3
  7. Expert with Design tools like Stoplight
  8. Expert with Test tools like Postman
  9. Experienced with Git workflows and Configuration as Code
  10. Understand modern API security following OAuth2
  11. Understand SDLC process and use a DevOps toolchain like Azure DevOps
  12. Worked in Agile methodology (Scrum) environments

Soft skills:

  1. Can take ambassador role to interact with our clients and stakeholders
  2. Gathering feedback from API consumers and reconcile needs to continue improving API s
  3. Excellent communication skills in English are essential
  4. Self-driven with strong work ethic
  5. Passionate in sharing knowledge and promote RESTful design
  6. Provide advice and technical training
  7. Strong team player, agile working methods, works well in a collaborative environment
  8. Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial, dynamic growth-oriented environment
Background & Skills
  1. 7 - 10 years of working experience in IT
  2. BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
  3. You will be collaborating with multiple teams to ensure a better digital experience for Danfoss customers. You will be working with the following.
  4. Design RESTful APIs together with API Product Owners
  5. Prototyping the API Design with tools like Prism
  6. Testing APIs with tools like Postman
  7. Gather and document requirements from stakeholders
  8. Ensure a robust API security to secure consumption of sensitive data in the API design
  9. Support API developers and API Product owners in understanding API management feature
  10. Create handover documentation to support organization

Working Hours

  • Danfoss expect that you work in EMEA time zone (12:00 to 20:00 IST) as this supports the API Management team in the best way. Expected travel to Europe 2 times Pr. Year.
