Reference data governance under GFS Data Quality Management stream, aims to establish a robust governance process around finance owned/consumed reference data. The reference data landscape is inclusive of GL Code block & other reporting (financial/management/regulatory) reference data.The expected benefits would be: centralised reference data management, reduced complexity of data management, process efficiency & governed changes.The role holder is expected to manage & Govern RDM related policies/guidelines, and procedures to manage any change requests to the GL code block & reporting reference data.The role holder, in collaboration with stakeholders (GFS teams & Country/Regional/Group Finance teams), will prioritise and route reference data changes for implementation. And in the process ensure that the right stakeholders are responsible, accountable, consulted and informed for any changes to the reference data and that an audit trail is maintained.The role holder would also challenge data governance compliance and performance.Key Roles and Responsibilities :Manage, maintain & control the reference data change requestsCollaborate with country/regional/group finance teams to gather reference data change requests and ensure all the relevant information is obtained as per the standard change request template.Work with various GFS teams to perform/coordinate a detailed impact analysis of the proposed reference data changes, covering financial/system/process/technology impact.Wherever required, raise the funding request with sufficient details, to the change originator and drive the agreement on funding methodology.Enable decision making in reference data governance board by presenting the proposed changes along with impact summary and recommendation.Post board approval/rejection, communicate the details to all the stakeholdersEnsure that change request is tracked to closure and any exceptions/risks are escalated to the governance board on time, to be able to put in appropriate risk mitigation.Model & maintain the reference data in the central tool, which can be referenced by various down streams.Maintain the blue book of finance reference data/key data elements and details of golden/silver sourcesInfluence and ensure alignment of the various Finance transformation initiatives and their resulting impact to the GL Code block and reporting reference data.Initiate process improvements to maintain the quality of Reference data managementEstablish handshake mechanism with Aspire on the reference data changes within BAU.Synchronize changes between PSGL & SAP GL code blockParticipate on Aspire testing and parallel run phase and eventually take over the governance and maintenance of SAP reference data platformKey Skills :Good knowledge of reference data landscape including PeopleSoft/SAP GL chart field structure & values & usage in Financial & Management reportingExposure to Financial and/or Management reporting packs, understanding of SCB reporting processes.Stakeholder management and collaborative working with wider finance community.Strong analytical skills in assessing change impactsGood track record of working in project or BAU Reporting teams (Financial, Management or PSGL Governance)A clear understanding of project milestones and can effectively manage and prioritize their time accordingly, in order to deliver to those milestonesAbility to pre-empt and resolve problems, mitigate risks, and issues associated with program.Good documentation skills and proficient in Excel. Exposure to SAP GL and / or mapping tools would be a plus.Knowledge of SAP Financial Control, Consolidation and Reporting tools a distinct advantageKnowledge of existing SCB Group Consolidation & Reporting including Quarterly, Half Year and Annual Disclosures, and the underlying systems and processes used to perform them a distinct advantage,
