Job Description

System Engineer - COE Chassis ( Steering and Wheels & tyres)RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Designing of Steering, wheel ends and wheels & tyres system
  • Concept layout preparation for wheel ends and wheels & Tyres
  • Ability to design components - Steering and wheel system.
  • Conduct design calcuations for steering and wheel system
  • Hands experience in Catia
  • Sound knowledge on steering and wheel system.
  • Perform IFMEA , DFMEA , DVP & design reviews
  • Ability to resolve field concerns.
JOB ROLE:
  • Very good knowledge in System design
  • Layouting & detailing of parts & assembly drawing preparation /3D modeling in Catia
  • Making 2D drawings for Chassis system- Steering & wheel system
  • Interacting with CFT team to relsove interface issues /Development issues
  • Conducting line trials, resolving manufacturing line issues
  • Conduct benchmarking of steering and wheel system
Competencies:
  • Catia Software background
  • Related to Automobile background
  • Well versed with Industrial practices
  • Will be able to work with CFT
Others:
  • Catia Software Knowledge
  • In depth experience for development of 3d model & 2d dwgs on CAD packages used like Catia.
  • 2d dwg generation & detailing of part for manufacturing & development
  • GD&T basic knowledge as per ASME preferred
  • Joinery details like welding symbols
  • Knowledge of machining symbols representation on dwgs
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing process like Blanking, Forming, Machining ,Casting ,Forging.etc
  • Understand the wheel system functional requirement and able to generate specifications for wheel system design.
  • 1Basic awareness of surface treatments for forged,formed and casting parts.
  • Basic awareness of Ride and handling.
  • Understanding of wheel balancing process.
  • Understanding of wheel end parts pressing process and its importance for vehicle design.
  • Knowledge of Product data management & engineering change release procedures
  • Basic Knowledge of overall vehicle
