Job Description

Role ResponsibilitiesStrategy

  • Responsible for the overall Scrum delivery of the squads allocated to him.
  • Ensure quality and timely delivery of MVP (Minimum Viable Product) as per the sprint plan, which is aligned with the Project plan.
Business
  • Need to work closely with key stakeholders like the PO, SOS, Practice and Chapter leads of BA, Dev, Design and testing teams and get the work done from the Scrum teams as per the project plan.
  • Ensure all the scrum ceremonies are conducted in a meticulous manner and are documented in the Confluence page.
Processes
  • Ensure adherence to the SDF process for Agile methodology.
  • Ensure the Agile / Scrum Practices are adopted / followed diligently across the squads and throughout the Scrum life cycle.
  • Make sure that all the squads coming under him are maturing enough in the Agile model over a period and ensure they secure 4G rating for all the sprint assessments.
People and Talent
  • Being a scrum lead, ensure all the squads comes under his stream / product, are effectively working and all the resources are 100% utilised for the scrum activities.
Risk Management
  • Ensure to be proactive and highlight the project risks in terms, of quality of delivery by different streams, schedule lag, resource constraints, Interface teams alignment, etc on timely manner to the right forum.
Governance
  • Promote an environment where compliance with internal control functions and the external regulatory framework.
Regulatory & Business Conduct
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Groups Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Lead to achieve the outcomes set out in the Banks Conduct Principles: [Fair Outcomes for Clients; Effective Financial Markets; Financial Crime Compliance; The Right Environment].
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
  • Exercise authorities delegated by the Board of Directors and act in accordance with Articles of Association.
Key Stakeholders
  • Product Owner, Practice / Chapter leads of Business solutions, Design, Development and Testing teams.
Our Ideal Candidate
  • Minimum 10 yrs of experience in the Scrum Master role and in that a couple of years of experience as SOS / Scrum lead role is an added advantage.
  • Ability to work with geographically dispersed and highly varied stakeholders.
  • Very good communication and interpersonal skills to manage senior stakeholders and top management.
  • Knowledge on JIRA and Confluence tools are desired.
  • CSM Certification is a must.
