Job Description

    Job Summary: The Restaurant Captain is responsible for overseeing the smooth operation of the restaurant, ensuring exceptional guest service, and managing the restaurant team. This role requires a strong emphasis on guest satisfaction, effective communication, and leadership skills.Responsibilities:
    • Guest Service:
    • Greet and welcome guests in a warm and friendly manner.
    • Provide comprehensive menu knowledge and make recommendations based on guest preferences.
    • Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests efficiently and professionally.
    • Ensure timely and accurate order taking and delivery.
    • Maintain a high level of guest satisfaction and exceed expectations.
    • Team Management:
    • Supervise and coordinate the work of the restaurant team, including waitstaff, bussers, and hosts.
    • Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and feedback.
    • Train and develop team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
    • Create and maintain a positive and supportive work environment.
    • Handle employee issues and conflicts in a professional and timely manner.
    • Operations:
    • Ensure the restaurant is clean, organized, and well-maintained.
    • Monitor inventory levels and place orders for supplies as needed.
    • Implement and enforce restaurant policies and procedures.
    • Assist with restaurant reservations and seating arrangements.
    • Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.
    • Communication:
    • Communicate effectively with guests, management, and team members.
    • Maintain open and honest communication with all stakeholders.
    • Provide regular updates on restaurant performance and issues.
