Data teams are one of the most interdisciplinary teams ever created. Theyre made up of analysts, data scientists, engineers, business users diverse people with their own tooling preferences, skill sets, and DNA that need to come together. This leads to collaboration chaos.We were awoken with crisis calls every second day for the minutest of issues from troubleshooting why a number on a dashboard was incorrect to difficulties in getting access to the right data set! Atlan started with us building tools to make our own data team more agile.These tools made our team 6x more agile, helping us take on amazing projects like building Indias National Data Platform used by Indias Prime Minister. The best part this was built by an eight-member team, the fastest project of its kind to go live, in a record twelve months instead of the projected three years.We asked, could the tooling we built for ourselves help data teams around the world Thats how Atlan was born. • This will be unlike any product team you know. At Atlan, building a great product is just the start of our journey. Our mission to help the humans of data do more together.
• We believe that the data function is still norming , and the data leaders and practitioners we speak to can use tons of help as we cement the data function in the organization fabric. This means being part of and contributing to a broader movement the shaping of products for the modern data stack.
• Youll collaborate with the business team to understand business needs and users, and translate them into actionable insights for the engineering team.
• Youll use product insights and enable our team to make effective day-to-day decisions.
• Youll identify issues, roadblocks, and opportunities by speaking regularly with users.
• Youll understand user flows, take feedback from customers, conduct market research, and align all these with the product roadmap.
• You ll actively geek out over relevant technologies in the data space, since you have to keep yourself updated on the trends in the data ecosystem.
