Job Description

Job Title Principal Software EngineerThis role will be part of the Application engineering team within the Fidelity Fund & Investment Operations (FFIO) Business UnitThe Purpose of this roleFFIO provides accounting and investment management support services for Fidelity mutual funds and other retail and institutional investment products.We are looking for a Tech Lead with strong Cloud and Java hands on who will work in our core technology team partnering with business operations to technically solution for critical requirements of our Investment Operations analystsThe Value you DeliverYou will be responsible for designing, developing and coordinating sophisticated application platforms for Fund and Investment operations and to migrate applications from on premise data centers to AWS. You will also evaluate emerging cloud technologies and collaborate with architecture to influence our business unit cloud strategy.We would like you to actively participate in planning, execution and delivery process for application product teams. Your technical expertise will be used to build our next generation application platforms on the cloud. You must be able to quantitatively analyze application performance and effectively implement necessary changes to meet the SLA.You will have the opportunity to demonstrate your attention to detail to align with the technology blueprint and solve business problems through design, development and ongoing support.   • Hands-on experience in core AWS services (EC2, EKS, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, CloudFormation).
  • Hands-on experience in Containerization (Docker), Kubernetes.Proficiency in Core Java, J2EE, SpringBoot, REST API services
  • Proficiency in ORM Frameworks (MyBatis/Hibernate)
  • Proficiency in Messaging (JMS, Active MQ, IBM MQ)
  • Proficiency in Multithreading/Concurrency Programming
  • Proficiency in SQL (Oracle Preferred)
  • Proficiency in Design Patterns
  • Proficiency in Test Driven Development and Build Technologies (Maven Preferred)
  • Hands-on experience in Linux Shell Scripting
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
