Job Description

Principal - Software EngineeringThe Purpose of Your RoleWorkplace Investments(WI) technology team is seeking a highly motivated individual to contribute as a technical leader for DC recordkeeping application on Azure cloud platform. This individual will partner very closely with the business and technology teams across the shores, will be a self starter and a key enabler in creation/adoption of the technology direction for the product. This individual will also help in ramping up the current workforce in the technology evolution curve.The Value You Deliver

  • You will collaborate with other tech leads in the project to translate business and architecture roadmap into software modules
  • Pro-active consulting in the definition phase about the non-functional requirements and its financial implications.
  • Provide technology alternatives to business problems and clearly explain the advantages, problems and side-effects of alternatives.
  • Ensure operability of technical architecture by partnering with the Enterprise Architects, project teams and taking responsibility for the technical design dispensations
  • Manage technology obsolescence of the product and aligning to enterprise directives.
  • Identifying opportunities to bring emerging technologies/solutions to deliver innovative solutions to meet business objectives

  • You know Unix and Shell scripting basics
  • You know Unit Testing
  • You know Job Scheduling Technologies
  • You Know Build Technologies (Maven, Hudson)
  • You know Agile methodologies or iterative development processes
  • You know Acceptance test-driven development a plus.
