Job Description

    Responsibilities & Key Deliverables Lead Component/ Parts development of all the systems related to the concerned vehicle platform as per agreed T (TIME), C (COST) & P (PERFORMANCE consisting of Quality, Quantity, Capacity, ramp up) targets, by following Mahindra Product Development guidelines and APQP process. Manage decisions on cost trade-offs across commodities minimizing TCP deviations at vehicle-level Drive timely finalization of SOR/drawings with inputs on supplier and cost feasibility inputs in coordination with Platform Engineering Head (PEH) Drive timely completion of technical sign-off along with PEH to ensure that only the suppliers capable of meeting TCP targets are signed-off Ensure timely completion of SBC in line with Business Case assumptions. Ensure quality and timely completion of Quote Synthesis (incl. supplier feedback, capex / investments, part pricing & process details) Ensure that underlying assumptions of SBC, SOR & Quote Synthesis are similar, so that, SBC and supplier quote are in striking distance of each other Ensure supplier capacity to provide parts as per projected volume in time & at scale Coordinate with Purchasing team to ensure timely finalization of Supplier Panel & VOB Maintain partwise BOM and meet the associated Capex related to part development Ensure timely completion of vendor PPAP and handover to SQE & SCM Provide part development related inputs to Platform Finance team for finalization of the project budget in the Business Case. System-level target drill-down: Provide feedback on techno-commercial feasibility to PEH Make vs Buy decisions: Timely finalization in line with platform TCP targets, in coordination with the Platform Leadership Team. Partner with Platform Leadership Team and help them prepare Business Case for all upcoming projects in the concerned platform with inputs like Budgeting, Cost Management, Technology roadmaps, buy vs make strategy etc. Enhance efficiency of the Platform Purchase team to manage activities like timely Technical Sign off, sending quality and timely RFQs, doing Quote synthesis and PPAP for part development process through structure CB interventions.Technical Skills required:Development process expertise in 1- 2 Vehicle systems (Trim, BIW, E&E, Drive Away Chassis etc) and working knowledge of other critical systems in a Vehicle along their relevant suppliers in the market. Must have extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes for various critical vehicle systems as mentioned above. Must have extensive techno-commercial knowledge of the various critical systems, their manufacturers & global practices in procurement of such components.
