Job Description

"Key duties and responsibilities are:

  • Perform the role of Maintenance controller (or undertake the required in-house training over time to achieve this) in accordance with the Crown aircraft Maintenance Control manual.
  • Support the maintenance and engineering team and Flight Operations team in planning, scheduling and carrying out aircraft maintenance including allocation of labour and provision of tooling.
  • Maintain our current long standing professional relationships with suppliers such as aircraft, avionics, engine manufactures, other external providers and service centres on aircraft engineering related matters.
  • Manage and administer aircraft programs such as CAMP, Rolls Royce Corporate Care, Honeywell MSP.
  • Manage the purchasing and allocation of aircraft parts to meet operational needs. Facilitate the shipping and core returns of parts.
  • Generate and issue Purchase and Service Orders for the purchasing and repair of aircraft parts and/or maintenance services.
  • Manage our aircraft spare parts inventory.
  • Monitor the maintenance financial expenditure and work closely with our internal finance team on the provisioning of costs.
  • Reporting to the HAAMC / Engineering Manager on a daily basis.
What you need:
  • Current CASA approved Maintenance Controller, or have the skills and experience necessary to qualify to gain this approval.
  • A Minimum of 3 years aircraft maintenance and/or scheduling and planning experience.
  • A strong emphasis on Safety and be familiar with Aviation Safety management Systems, Quality systems, internal and external quality auditing, compliance requirements and a keen eye for detail.
  • Experience with Bombardier (or similar type aircraft) or Rolls Royce aircraft/engine maintenance scheduling or similar web based tracking systems essential.
  • Ability to review, evaluate and action CASA and Country of Origin Airworthiness Directives and action manufacturers airworthiness information such as Service Bulletins is essential.
  • Ability to generate work packages, due lists, Logbook statements and other data is essential.
  • Experience with Avtrak, CMP, CAMP or similar aircraft maintenance tracking systems preferred.
  • Experience in purchasing and requisition, stores control and tool control preferred.
  • Corporate Aviation experience in maintenance planning preferential.
  • Intermediate Word and Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication skills required.
  • Experience in accounts and processing of invoices would be highly regarded.
