Job Description

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Experienced in design and development of different Steering system like Electric power steering, Hydraulic power steering system.
  • Steering system calculation & concept layout generation. Good understanding on vehicle dynamics.
  • Experience in EPS tuning and development activities
  • Representing system development status & weight status in project review
  • meetings
  • Capable to design steering components with in given weight & cost targets.
  • Hands on experience in Catia
  • Sound knowledge on steering system components.
  • Perform IFMEA , DFMEA , DVP & design reviews
  • Ability to resolve field concerns.
JOB ROLE:
  • Very good knowledge in System design
  • Layouting & detailing of parts, assembly drawing & 3D modeling in Catia
  • Interacting with CFT team to resolve interface issues /Development issues
  • Conducting line trials, resolving manufacturing line issues
  • Conduct benchmarking of steering system.
Job Requirements Experience (years) B.E : 7 to 10 Years Industry Preferred AutomotiveQualification BE in Mechanical engineering Personality Traits Competencies
  • Catia Software background
  • Related to Automobile background
  • Well versed with Industrial practices
  • Will be able to work with CFT General Requirements Knowledge of Product data management & engineering change release procedures
Basic Knowledge of overall vehicle Functional Competencies / Skills critical for the job Functional COMPETENCY EXPECTED:
  • Working knowledge of design, development & integrationof EPS (Electric power
  • steering), Rack & pinion steering gear, HPS system.
  • Catia Software Knowledge
  • GD&T basic knowledge as per ASME preferred
  • Joinery details like welding symbols
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing process like Blanking, Forming, Machining ,Casting
  • ,Forging.etc
  • Understand the Steering system functional requirement and able to generate
  • specifications for different types of steering system.
  • Basic awareness of surface treatments for forged,formed and casting parts.
  • Basic awareness of Ride and handling. Names of Companies from where we can get this talent . CAR OEMs & Suppliers (Steering system) of Car OEMs.
