Job Description

Summary The Security Architect will be responsible for designing, building, testing, and implementing Information Systems Application Security, Data Security, Network Infrastructure Security, Identity & Access Management, Security Governance, and Security as Service. A Security Architect is expected to have a thorough understanding of complex IT systems and stay up to date with the latest security standards, systems, and authentication protocols, as well as industry best practice and security products.In addition to anticipating possible security threats and identifying areas of weakness in Application, Network Infrastructure system, and Identity & Access Management, a Security Architect must visualize and arrest promptly and effectively to possible breaches of security across systems. Responsibilities

  • Reviewing current Application, Network & Infrastructure, Identity, and Access Management system security measures and recommending and implementing enhancements.
  • Architecting & Designing Application, Network & Infrastructure, Identity & access Management system, considering all aspects of Information Security practices.
  • Review of security adherence followed by the team for the developed Application.
  • Understanding and experience implementing multi-factor authentication, security protocols, cryptography, authentication, authorization, single sign-on, identity management, or related technologies.
  • Developing project timelines for ongoing development, system, and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Promptly responding to all Application security incidents and providing thorough post-event analyses and remedies, on time.
  • Integrating security tools, standards, and processes into the Application Product life cycle (ALC).
  • Good working knowledge of current IT risks and experience implementing security solutions.
  • Improving and supporting application security tool deployments including static analysis(SAST) and runtime testing tools (DAST).
  • Improving and maintaining secure development standards up to date with industry and standard practices.
  • Managing periodic penetration testing services including both expert consulting and managed services.
  • Managing application framework and perimeter security improvement projects.
  • Integrating threat modeling practices into the Software Product Application lifecycle.
  • Ability to interact with a broad cross-section of personnel to explain and enforce security measures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as business acumen and a commercial outlook.
  • Must be able to explain all vulnerabilities and weaknesses in the OWASP Top 10 WASC TCv2, and CWE25 to any audience, and discuss effective defensive techniques.
  • The ideal candidate has experience writing and testing web applications, web services, and restful services in one of the following programming languages: CC++C#, Java, and JavaScript. The candidate should have familiarity with a variety of development and testing tools, including Eclipse, GIT, GCC, JIRA, Subversion, Maven, ClearQuestCase, Silk, FindBugs, HPFortify SCA, IBM AppScan, and HP WebInspect.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations including PCI, FFIEC, SOX, and ISO27001 is desired.
Experience & Qualifications
  • 14 16 years of overall experience.
  • 6 8 years of relevant experience in Information Security Practice and Security Testing.
  • A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field is highly desirable.
