Job Description

About this role: This role is for skilled professionals with experience in public accounting. The candidate would be providing support in financial accounting domain to multiple lines of business & control functions and would be communicating frequently with mid to senior level stakeholders throughout the organization. The candidate would be expected to perform varied accounting functions, incl. reconciliations of associated ledger accounts and preparing workpapers used in presentation of financial statements and reports. In this role, you will: Monitor team mailbox, respond to business partner inquiries and direct emails to appropriate folders within mailbox. Support tasks associated with daily invoice review to ensure appropriate accounting treatment is applied to technology related invoices. Prepare account reconciliations. Support ongoing monthly technology group accounting close and reporting process as needed. Develop and apply technical accounting knowledge in areas including accounting for software maintenance, software license, cloud computing, etc. Direct governance and oversight activities, including creating and implementing controls to ensure data accuracy, documentation of processes, development of appropriate tests, and resolution of issues. Review data from the general ledger, unit reports and various financial systems to ensure accuracy. Provide functional advice and training to Accounting Team, technology finance counterparts, and customers. Lead and perform special projects with critical impact to group or company. Collaborate and consult with stakeholders throughout the enterprise. Gather and review financial data for financial and regulatory reports. Desired Qualifications: Bachelors/ Post-graduate in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration 5 years of experience in financial accounting roles with expertise inReconciliation of Inter-company GLs &JE postings Knowledge and understanding of accounting principles & US GAAP Ability to work both independently and within team environment across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important. Strong communication and presentation skills. Prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with critical deadlines. Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint Good to have knowledge of Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau Financial services industry expertise with specific experience in US GAAP reporting would be preferred.
