Work with Design Engineer, Project Engineer and Project Manager on required tasks.
Serves as subject matter expert (SME). Understand how proposed architectural changes will impact the customers business.
Work with enterprise security device vendors to resolve complex incidents. Give presentations via training sessions. Use vendor provided tools, log files, Verizon provided tools/scripts.
Regular attendance on incident calls.
Change Management participation.
Assist other Tier2 engineers in complex tasks. Perform monthly checks of device operations to include.
Create, distribute, analyze and evaluate network management performance reports. Create and present Root Cause Analysis (RCA) document when requested.
Participate in the Capacity Management process.
Participate in audit and compliance assessments performed internally.
You will have to have:
Bachelor degree or four or more years of Experience working in 24x7 centers in complex environments.
Four or more years or relevant work experience.
Knowledge of networking technologies.
Knowledge of firewall functionality (Palo Alto, CISCO ASA, Fortinet).
Knowledge of Global/Local load balancing devices (F5, Netscaler Cisco). Knowledge of Cisco ISE devices.
Knowledge of NetScaler VPN devices. Knowledge of Caching/Proxy/AV devices (Bluecoat, Cisco, ZScaler, NetCache, etc.).
Knowledge of VPN, SSL, and IPS/IDS devices. Knowledge of Enterprise Management tools.
Even Better if you have : A Masters degree.
