Job Description

    Who you ll work with: Youll manage a team of engineers dedicated to getting customer data into Logikcull. The Collectors are a whip-smart cast of characters pushing the envelope on framework design and performance. The work this team is doing will fundamentally reshape our processing pipelines. Work with Zach Evans, Sr Director of Engineering Platform, Product and Design, and peer teams to bring ambitious goals to life, build an inspiring culture and serve an amazing group of dedicated engineers.What you ll do:
    • Form meaningful relationships with your team through 1 on 1s. Provide mentorship, coaching, and feedback to help your team succeed
    • Get your whiteboarding hat ready - You ll need plenty of time to help understand existing complexities and to articulate future goal states
    • Partner with our People team to attract, retain, and develop world-class talent
    • Collaborate with Product teams to create a clear roadmap and to clarify priorities for your engineering team
    • Monitor and communicate progress to stakeholders and make adjustments to scope as needed
    • Assist engineers with breaking down large problems into small ones, setting goals and metrics, and forming plans for how to achieve them
    What we re looking for (you!):
    • 3-5 years of experience working on and managing distributed teams of 5 or more engineers
    • Has directly recruited and hired > 5 engineers
    • Ability to both inspire engineers and to hold them accountable for excellence
    • Demonstrated ability to adapt to a dynamic environment with shifting priorities
    • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other engineering leaders and stakeholders
    • While this is not primarily a coding position, an understanding of Java or Ruby and an appreciation of scalable applications will go a long way towards helping you to effectively lead the team
