  • Head of Engineering
  • Based in: Chennai

  • A diversified tech stack background, including experience in SaaS, big data and digital products
  • Expertise in the product development lifecycle and value creation, such as defining requirements, design, development, testing (including automation) and deployment on cloud and onsite for Tier1 clients
  • Working knowledge in modern data technologies (Postgres, NoSQL, Hadoop, Hive, Spark etc.), recommendation systems and machine learning
  • Knowledge in application development using Spring Boot / NodeJS for RESTful web services
  • Responsible for product success directly overseeing all aspects of product life cycle management that meet market and user requirements and that facilitate rapid development and implementation of new products and enhancements.
  • Experience with client-side app development for web or mobile interfaces
  • Knowledge of enterprise SaaS, cloud security and deployment architecture (Cloud deployments (AWS / Azure and Cloud Native architecture)
  • Experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements (eg. security, privacy, SOX, ISO, etc.)
  • Up-to-date knowledge on market tech and product trend

  • Build, train and lead a high-performing engineering team
  • Train mid-level management to allow scale, speed and quality
  • Help the product management teams to define and create product roadmaps as well as own and release these plans end- to-end.
  • Developing product strategy and roadmap of products. The product roadmap is created by analyzing and prioritizing projects/features, determining the product design and development effort and negotiating launch timelines with development teams.
  • Extend, scale and perfect the product.
  • Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth.
  • Engage with global Tier1 client stakeholders and own client engineering solutions
  • Track record of big data and highly scalable applications in cloud infrastructure like AWS and Azure
, RequirementsYou ll get brownie points for:
  • Experience of working in start-ups and corporates that delivered to Tier 1 enterprises or banks
  • Experience in managing multiple contractors for rapid scale up / down
  • A metrics-oriented mindset that measures performance and progress by numbers
  • Excellent English communication and presentation skills
  • Familiar with Agile-Scrum methodology and the waterfall value delivery model, with the ability to plan and execute
