Job Description

To Head the EASRE (Enterprise Architecture & Site Reliability Engineering) in DAH2 and provide leadership to the team, by working closely with the SGP Business & Development organisations. Candidate will have to apply development and build expertise along with problem solving skills to support innovative projects, across the Bank. This is a key technology role to drive the aggressive agenda to create digital services which will help improve agility and governance of SDLC practices across the bank.This role will involve leading teams that:I nvolved in creating prototypes, developing solutions based on key Site Reliability objectives leveraging industry best practicesI nvolved in supporting software release practices and can deliver key solutions and services to improve the efficiency of software delivery processes Key Responsibilities

  • Direct operations of EASRE Services Centre s delivery regionally in a manner that drives business objectives, achieves milestones, and contributes operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction
  • Set clear strategic vision for newly created EASRE in DAH2 ensuring it is aligned to the regional strategic vision and clearly communicated to all teams and key business customers
  • Lead the establishment and development of EASRE team by building an effective and strategic partnership with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide support and direction to LOBT s departments ensuring adequate compliance, audit & financial controls and optimal operation to improve operations, processes, and procedures
  • Drive changes and continuous improvements in the EASRE team by monitoring the effectiveness of the teams against SLA/KPIs, including standardization of processes and practices across business units, development of an effective performance culture and implementation systems
  • Maintain continuous dialogue and manage communication and feedback mechanisms to ensure deliverables both on time and as per quality standards
  • Manage a team of engineers to deliver highly resilient and scalable systems.
  • Coach engineering teams and keep them up to date by using new languages, tools & models the landscape changes frequently and you ll be expected to keep current with the best.
  • Remain hands on developing software.
  • Develop proofs of concept & prototypes for new technologies & products.
  • Create an internal open source community where you encourage sharing of reusable APIs and code.
  • Drive DevOps adoption in DAH2 experience.
Work Relationships Internal Works closely with business teams to understand challenges and identify opportunities. Regular touch points to update on the progress of projects and present results and recommendationsWorks closely with technology teams to understand data sources and plan the implementation of models in Production in a scalable mannerExternalMaintain knowledge or experience in process improvement, continuous integration, deployment and general automation on new approaches from data science research and technologyWorking knowledge of private and public cloud and other cloud native technologies like Open shift, Kubernetes and PCF Skill and Experience Skills In-depth understanding of the technology, terms and methodologies used in the Shared Services industryPrior experience leading, managing and mentoring large teamsLead in platform engineering design activities, influence the roadmap, and guide technical directionStrong hands-on Experience with DevOps toolchains and practicesWorking knowledge of private and public cloud and other cloud native technologies like Open shift, Kubernetes and PCFKnowledge or experience in process improvement, continuous integration, deployment and general automation Technical Skills Bachelor s Degree in Computing or Engineering, a MS or PhD is a plus.15+ years of relevant experience managing and leading a multiple engineering teamExpert in tools such as Git, Jenkins, Junit, etc. and technologies such as Java, Ruby, Python, Scala, AngularJS, Swift and Node JSExperience in REST API and web engineering experience, including demonstrated experience in Java, Web services/ API, MariaDB, DB2 applicationsUnderstanding & experience in NO SQL DBs like MongoDB, Cassandra, Hadoop and demonstrates a deep understanding of a big data ecosystem.Must be able to understand and work on the various development languages and platforms Java/J2EE, WebSphere, SQL, Oracle, RBMSStrong working knowledge in UNIX/Linux/Windows and Oracle/SQL Server (SQL Querying, SP, triggers, views & other DBO.)UNIX shell scripting and/or PerlExperience with Java technologies Java/J2EE is essentialExperience creating automation tools via scripting in both Linux as well as Windows environment.Demonstrated willingness to learn new technologies and takes pride in how fast they develop working software,
