Job Description

    • Roles & Responsibilities : Hands On experience on Enterprise Data Catalog tools such as Azure Purview, Collibra,Alation or Atlan is desired. Proven experience in data cataloging, data analysis, and data governance roles Strong knowledge of data cataloging concepts, metadata management principles, and data governance frameworks Familiarity with data profiling techniques and tools Develop and maintain a comprehensive data catalog that captures metadata, data lineage, and data definitions for all data assets Collaborate with data owners and stakeholders to gather and document data asset information, including data source, data quality, and business context Regularly update and enhance the data catalog to reflect changes in data assets, data structures, and data governance policies Utilize data profiling tools and techniques to discover and assess data assets within the organization Conduct data profiling activities to analyze and document the characteristics, quality, and usability of data assets Identify and report any data quality issues or anomalies found during the data profiling process Support data governance initiatives by ensuring compliance with data management standards and policies Collaborate with data governance teams to establish and maintain data governance frameworks, data standards, and data stewardship processes Assist in defining data quality rules, data classification, and data lineage standards Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data owners, data engineers, reference data analysts, and business stakeholders, to understand data requirements and provide guidance on data asset usage Collaborate with IT teams to ensure proper integration of the data catalog with other data management tools and platforms Communicate effectively with stakeholders to promote data catalog adoption, educate users on data catalog features and benefits, and address any concerns or inquiries related to the data catalog Hold training and demos for the end-users on the data catalog tool to ensure easy adoption for the business Proactively suggest enhancements to the data catalog to improve data discoverability, usability, and governance Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to reference data management
