Job Description

The Basel Measurement & Analytics (BM&A) group within Capital Management is responsible for calculating, analyzing and reporting firmwide RWA for market risk, credit risk and retail risk stripes. The RWA measures feed into various corporate functions to quantify and determine regulatory capital requirements and support external regulatory filings and disclosures. Capital Management - BM&A is responsible to develop and manage the Basel infrastructure and ensure calculations are in compliance with internal capital policy and guidance. In addition, RCMO BM&A supports ancillary activities to perform impact analysis on methodology changes driven by new rule proposal; support RWA component of CCAR, resolution & recovery, Pillar 2 ICAAP and Pillar 3 Disclosure; and quantitative impact studies (QIS) for regulatory agencies. The Basel Measurement & Analytics Implementation Associate is responsible for driving delivery for enhancements to infrastructure needed to support risk regulatory reporting processes related to Basel methodology and Risk-Weighted Assets (RWA) reporting across all risk stripe and coordinating strategic projects in the Capital space. The candidate will support the BM&A in firm-wide initiatives to implement regulatory requirements, Basel methodology changes, and RWA reporting enhancements. The candidate will work closely with the Production Team, BM&A Subject Matter Experts, Technology Teams, Data Strategy, Lines of Business and Policy to advance the firms agenda. Specific responsibilities include:Participate in key initiatives related to the build out of the Firms target state Basel capital infrastructure. Contribute from both Project Management and technical Business Analyst perspective. Drive and manage strategic projects end to end in the BM&A project portfolio. For example, implementation of new regulations Coordinate and support Risk stripe leads to prepare management materials on key business initiativesImplement new processes across the risk stripes such as new controls and MIS initiatives Support quarter end reporting across the team such as process for quarterly variance analytics of RWA and detailed progress tracking Qualifications 6-8 years of relevant experience, background in financial institution or accounting firm preferred.Qualified accountant or student preferred (CPA/CFA/FRM/ACA)Working knowledge of banking products and/or Basel rules would be a bonusStrong analytical and problem solving skills, with focus on controls Ability to multi-task and work under pressure, both independently and as a team playerGood interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional groupsGood oral and written communication skillsProficiency in MS Office product suite (Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint) required. Skills: Must have excellent analytical, oral and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with colleagues at various levels of the organizationSelf-motivated team player.
