Job Description

    ABOUT WAYCOOL: WayCool Foods, founded in 2015, is Indias largest and fastest growing Agri-commerce company. Focusing on food development and distribution, the company leverages innovative technology to scale and operate a complex supply chain from soil to sale. The Company operates in a full stack, broadline product range across multiple channels and categories such as fresh produce, staples, and dairy, serving over 100k+ clients in the general trade, modern trade, and food services space. The own consumer brands basket consists of Madhuram, Kitchenji, Lexotique and Freshey & to name a few. The Company through its agricultural extension program - OUTGROW, works with over 85,000 farmers in the country to source the produce, and equips farmers with next-gen tech and promotes principles of regenerative agriculture. ABOUT THE ROLE: Under the Outgrow program, the Company engages with farmers through the entire cultivation cycle, from planning to inputs to harvesting and use a host of emerging technologies to measure soil health, climatic conditions, quality of inputs and yield strength, thereby reducing the risk for farmers and establishing a strong sustainable supply chain for the Company. The Business Head will be responsible to build the Outgrow program into a Business Unit (BU) and drive the top-line, bottom- line and P&L strategy. What you will do: - Ensure the key value propositions of the Outgrow BU are delivered - farmer development,- uptake of regenerative agriculture practicing and economic benefit to farmer & Waycool- Lead the BU end-to-end from strategy development and in-sighting to drive profitability.- Responsible for achieving the functions ABP targets - GMV, CM i.e., top-line and bottom-line- Oversee and supervise the BU activities, set goals, define KPIs, roadmap and track effective- execution towards goals Build, retain and groom a strong team and ensure that the team is aligned with the Company goals- Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders both within Company and external, to ensure quick business turnarounds- Work closely with others category teams like sourcing/procurement, Digital, IT, Sustainability, Corporate Communication & other functions towards creating P&L strategy and driving toplines and bottom lines. What you will need: - Should be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to translate strategies into execution plans and take them to completion- Excellent verbal and written communication with interpersonal skills Strong understanding of technology and business- Ability to connect with people across teams and levels Desired Background: - MBA preferred with 10+ years of experience (Agri and allied sector - agri inputs, technology providers, FPOs, supply chain)- Strong in strategy building, in-sighting, innovation, P&L management- Proven experience of working with multilateral agencies and managing relationships- Experience in agriculture and allied service sectors, understanding of sustainable and regenerative agriculture principles will be added advantage- Willing to Travel,
