The function balances customer needs, business strategy, and profit objectives using best in class and relevant analytic methodologies.What do we do The North America Consumer Bank Data Science and Modeling team analyzes millions of prospects and billions of customer level transactions using big data tools and machine learning, AI techniques to unlock opportunities for our clients in meeting their financial needs and create economic value for the bank.The team extracts relevant insights, identifies business opportunities, converts business problems into modeling framework, uses big data tools, latest deep learning and machine learning algorithms to build predictive models, implements solutions and designs go-to-market strategies for a huge variety of business problems.What s expected from you As a Data Engineering analyst, we are seeking an experienced candidate who should be able to perform below behaviors in their day to day role:

• Client Obsession Create client centric analytic solution to business problems. Individual should be able to have a holistic view of multiple businesses and develop analytic solutions accordingly.
• Analytic Project Execution Own and deliver multiple and complex data engineering projects. This would require an understanding of business context, conversion of business problems into best in class technical solutions, and implementing such solutions to create economic value.
• Modeling and Tech Savvy Always up to date with the latest use cases of modeling community, machine learning and deep learning algorithms and share knowledge within the team.
• Engineering mindset Proficiency in computing paradigms, understanding of data, technology and interplay of both to create performant, smart and reusable systems and frameworks
• People Management Should be prepared and proactive in gaining full understanding of your people s performance, with ability to engage in honest, robust conversations and encouraging people to take personal responsibility for their own development
• Strategic acumen Should possess ability to see the big picture of business, identify and understand emerging trends, challenge status quo and design goals for growth
• Communication skills Ability to translate and articulate technical thoughts and ideas to a larger audience including influencing skills with peers and senior management.

Skillset you should possess The most important skill that our analyst should possess is their love for data, technology and their eagerness for new challenges & solving new problems. Apart from these, they should also have the following skillsetBasic Qualifications

• Master s / Engineering Degree with more than 13+ years of experience in Database systems, Hadoop and cloud based data management technologies.
• Experience in designing solutions using enterprise technologies.
• Experience of managing a team of 10 plus resources
• Experience of managing 2-3 senior resources.
• Exposure of working in DevOps environment.
• Experience in understanding technologies such as Unix Scripting, Python, R, SQL, Tableau
• Comfortable working with completed unstructured, undocumented code and turning it around into best in class code redesigning costly compute and data processes and aligning to best development standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Fast Learner with a desire to excel and attitude to partner and solve problems in complex environments placing business objectives at center or all activity.
• Experience in SAS, Hadoop, SQL, HQL, Performance Tuning, Code Re-engineering preferred
• Experience in broad IT architecture and design preferred across data and channels
