Job Description

The candidate will function as a User Experience Designer and will be filling the role of a behavioral scientist in a design environment within the Global Wealth Management Technology in the Digital team. Digital team builds and maintains the client facing portal for international private banking customers spanning APAC, EMEA and LATAM geographies. The digital program delivers technology solutions to offer superior client experience for our customers. The team works on conceptualizing, build review and delivering the next generation cutting edge digital offerings including responsive web and native solutions. Your primary mission will be to understand our business needs and product requirements and transform that understanding into user-focused and intuitive products, interfaces, platforms for mobile and web. Key Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize design solutions from ideation to completion utilizing interaction design tools.
  • Create the right documentation for the task at hand, ranging from paper sketches or a whiteboard brainstorming sessions to wireframes, user flows, navigational structures, and experimental prototypes.
  • Proficient with using motion and kinetics as part of the full visual experience to captivate and engage users on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
  • Up to date on the latest design and digital trends and patterns. You revel in sharing your finds and insights with your teammates.
  • Keenly interested in how people relate to technology, you have a thorough understanding of user-centered design methodologies and can easily translate research insights and business requirements into design strategy and concepts.
  • Enjoys working in teams and routinely gives constructive feedback as well as thrives on receiving it.
  • Leans into challenges and easily engages with all stakeholders to deliver solutions which follow usability best practices and ultimately lead to positive outcomes for both our users and our business
  • Play an active role in the concept, design, and execution phases of projects across an array of interactive media such as responsive design, tablet and mobile interfaces.
  • Be able to juggle high level redesigns and low level daily needs and easily pivot between the two.
  • Ability to comprehend and visually articulate product requirements.
  • Serve as an advocate for the user, while still maintaining an understanding of the value of brand and business needs.
  • Passionate about understanding and keeping the team informed with emerging trends and innovations in experience design, technology, development, visual design, and product design.
  • Help establish and reinforce consistent design patterns across multiple teams and platforms.
  • Ability to use visual thinking and communication to create intuitive interactions.
  • 8+ years of UX, Interaction design or product design experience; experience with responsive design, tablet, mobile interface and frameworks that incorporate strong grid principles, such as Bootstrap.
  • Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in HCI, Interaction Design, Information Architecture, Visual Communication, or any design-related field.
  • Online portfolio or work examples a MUST
  • Has experience working in short, fast-paced development cycles to deliver results quickly.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills; is comfortable presenting to executive staff.
  • Previous experience working with product managers and developing design strategies.
  • Strong self-management skills combined with an ability to work as a contributing member of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Team player with the ability to communicate effectively across multiple departments.
  • Strong ability to recognize and predict use cases and user interaction, including happy path as well as edge and corner cases, and incorporate them into designs.
Technical Knowledge
  • Competency with Sketch, Axure, and other interaction design tools.
  • Understanding of user interviews, usability testing, and deep understanding of visual design principles and concepts, including icon design, typography, color theory, accessibility, aesthetics, proportionality, layout fundamentals, and information design.
  • Understanding of common software development practices and how to play a key part in their success
  • Preferred: Proficient in HTML, JavaScript and CSS, front-end development
