Job Description

  • Serves as the lead SQL database designer on strategic development projects. Assists project teams in estimating the architecture design effort, modelling, ETL process enhancements and also develop/ review/ approve architecture designs
  • Develops, maintains, and optimizes all data layer components for new and existing systems, including databases, stored procedures, SSIS packages, and SQL queries
  • Would be responsible for delivering projects on Alteryx
  • Interacts with application developers from various core systems to address changes in those systems and their impact on existing SQL databases
  • Employs database management skills, including performance optimization of databases for both real-time and batch processing
  • Works with various business units to define, troubleshoot, and resolve data and data quality issues.
  • Defines data solutions for business problems by working directly with project managers, seniors and clients
  • Be subject matter expert to program/project teams in the plan, design, and delivery of technical solutions
  • Ability to effectively communicate with other senior leaders of IT on program strategies and plans and negotiate quality solutions
  • Trains and mentors fellow team members
  • Would be responsible for end to end people management and utilization of the team
Qualification & Experience Required
  • Bachelors / Master s degree in Computer Engineering / Information Technology / MCA
  • An overall experience of 8+ years
  • 5 - 6 years of experience on SQL DB/Server including building SQL Database, database designing and data modeling, SQL server experience with SSIS, ETL experience working with SSIS.
  • Experience on deploying SQL DBs (with SSIS Packages) on the server both on a devlopment and production environment
  • Preferred - Microsoft SQL Server certifications (i.e. MCDBA, MCSD, MCSE)
  • Must possess thorough knowledge of C#
  • Experienced working with MS Access and MS Excel
  • At least one year experience of working on Alteryx
  • Exposure to visual analytics tool (SpotFire/ Tableau/ Power BI) would be good to have but not mandatory
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • At least 2 - 3 three years of people management experience
