TE Connectivity s Engineering Project Management Teams manage cross functional engineering projects. They work with Product Management, Sales, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance, and other functions across TE to assure projects meet financial, schedule and customer expectations. They are responsible for defining and creating project schedules, portfolio management, communication and execution of programs, identifying resource constraints and working with management for resolution, while adhering to LeanPD processes.What your background should look like:ROLE OBJECTIVE Project manager for global VAVE Data and device team. The candidate should possess good project management skills. The candidate should also have basic engineering background along with the knowledge of connector manufacturing technologies (molding/stamping/plating/assembly).RESPONSIBILITIES Advanced project management skills with a demonstrated ability to drive large and complex engineering projects to completion on time, on budget, and in scope. Experienced in MS Project schedule creation, resource tool, and project planning preferred. Basic understanding of the interdependencies across the engineering, operations, plant manufacturing, and product management functions. History of using innovative approaches to address complex problems. Experienced in identifying and mitigating project risks and developing contingency plans. Highly motivated self-starter with an ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing situations. Strong organizational and time management skills with an ability to manage and execute multiple tasks/deadlines/projects simultaneously with limited direction. Effective collaboration and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of building strong relationships with both internal and external customers. Advanced influencing skills able to use influence up/down the organization and cross-functionally to enable the successful execution of projects. Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in a global environment able to accommodate varying time zones and to collaborate with individuals across multiple geographies. Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team with individuals of all levels, backgrounds, and functional disciplines. Willing to develop and mentor others with longer-term career aspirations of being developed for a potential leadership role in the futureEDUCATION/KNOWLEDGEBachelor s degree in (Mechanical) required PMP certification is added advantage Hands of experience on Lean NPD process. Knowledge on Agile methods is added advantage. Knowledge of connector or cable assembly manufacturing process including machining, molding, stamping, plating, cable, etc. Capable of using MS project tools. Capable of using MS office software (Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook, etc) Familiarity with quality tools (6sigma, DOE, 8D ) will be a plus. Excellent English communication skill to interact with a cross-functional global team Having experience of handle team is an added advantageCRITICAL EXPERIENCEMinimum of 10+ Years of engineering or project management experience preferably in an interconnect industry.
