Job Description

  • Active team member of infrastructure Linux & Storage team
  • Monitor global storage services
  • Manage and maintain Rambus global Netapp controllers and storage equipment, support storge monitoring & applications, etc.
  • Operation, Administration and troubleshooting of Rambus global storage including configuration, performance, capacity, monitoring, provisioning, life cycle, security, etc.
  • Collaboration with cross functional teams of IT and vendors to participate in deploying virtualization infrastructure solution based on the project requirements
  • Support on projects within the team and cross - functionally
  • Participate in root cause analysis to resolve issues quickly in a complex IT environment
  • Support high availability and security by updating and patching systems during maintenance schedules
  • Support remote sites systems provisioning process
  • Follow policies and procedures including those for ITIL incident, problem, change, release management and ISO 27001 guidelines
  • Participate in evaluating tools or any other software applications relevant for storage services
  • Perform other duties as requested by team manager
  • Working in shifts ( EU & US ) CET & PST time zones on demand
Qualifications
  • BS or better in MIS, Computer Science, or related field required
  • 8 or more years working as Netapp storage systems administrator
  • 3 or more years working with virtual enterprise infrastructure (VMware ESX, Virtual Center, SRM, Citrix, blades, storage, network/fiber channel switches, virtualization management tools, etc.)
  • 3 or more years working with Linux EDA compute environment is an added advantage.
  • VMware and Microsoft certifications are an added advantage
  • ITIL V3 & ISO 27001 experience are an added advantage

Skill :

  • Strong working knowledge of Netapp ontap cluster and 7mode administration
  • Strong working knowledge of Netapp and vmware integration
  • Strong working knowledge of storage and control monitoring
  • Ability and experience with building highly available, robust, manageable, and secure solutions
  • Strong communication skills (written and presentations)
  • Must be able to work well with others
  • Ability to work in a fast - paced multi - tasking environment
  • Ability to travel to other locations (both domestic and international) as needed, sometimes on short notice.
  • On call support to respond on any weekend emergency issues
  • Experience with at least one scripting language (Shell/Perl/Python).
  • Exposure on automation using ansible, or any YAML language
