The Sr. Solution Architect, D&T, PI/PO works independently and possesses expert knowledge and capabilities. This role is responsible for the overall design, development and implementation of SAP applications. The role is viewed as an expert in solution design, development, performance tuning and troubleshooting. Working in a global environment, this role has a hands-on approach capable of working across teams and time zones. The position must have hands-on experience in PI/PO, ALE/IDOC, EDI, ABAP OO programming, Smartforms, SAPSCRIPT, Dialog Programming / Module-Pool Programming, Workflow, ALV Reports, Interfaces and Enhancements. Experience in Agile development methodology for projects and enhancements and SAP BW experience are a plus. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Possesses deep understanding of overall vision, business needs and the solution architecture for SAP applications. Uses this expert knowledge to solve complex problems. Designs end-to-end technical solutions across various systems including ECC, APO, BW, PI/PO and Non-SAP Systems. Works closely with the process team to understand the business requirements, review the functional specifications, develops technical specifications, builds the application, unit tests the application and supports the process team during integration testing. Designs and builds applications using knowledge of best practices. Investigates and fixs production issues. Coaches, supports and trains other team members. Other duties as assigned Education and Experience: Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience 5+ years of relevant experience in the areas specified under Essential Duties and Responsibilities Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Experience in technical design with the integration between ECC, APO, BW, PI/PO and Non-SAP Systems Continuous and strong hands-on experience in developing SAP applications Strong experience in gathering requirements and as a point of contact to global business / process teams ABAP OO skills is a must Experience with PI 7.4 or higher/ESR/ID/SLD/Adapter Engine Must have strong E2E integration experience with RFC, BAPI, ALE/IDOC, EDI, SProxy and PI/PO Experience in how to implement API authentication and authorization using customer adapter module for HTTP / SOAP Adapter Configure FILE, FTP, SFTP, HTTP/S, PROXY, IDOC, RFC, SQL, REST adapters Experience in Convertor Modules, Mapping Templates, B2B UDF Library Experience with writing custom adapter modules in JAVA. Proficient in current development and source code management tools (Git, Eclipse, WebUI) Must have extensive experience of ABAP development workbench, Dictionary, Workflows, SAPForms, BAPIs, Enhancement Framework, RFC s, BADI s, IDOC, ALE and ABAP OBJECTS, IDoc Queue handling, ABAP Proxy Framework, Change document framework, Conversions and Data load methods, SPAU, SPDD and post upgrade activities, Open-SQL performance tuning Strong experience working with ALE / IDoc configuration, enhancements, user exits, error handling Must have excellent analytical and logical problem solving Ability to work in a global and virtual environment and to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. .
