The Project Manager (PM) works under general direction of the Director, Global Services and is responsible for the successful implementation of Nuance products. This includes the planning, organizing, and integration of all implementation activities according to the guidelines stated in a contract or statement of work. The Project Manager serves as the Nuance control point during the implementation process and has direct responsibility for negotiating and coordinating resolution for all implementation issues at the client site. The Project Manager is responsible for managing projects that may include a combination software applications and related interfaces across the platforms. Manages Projects: Directs and supervises the software implementation for one or more clients at a time. Performs administration and planning tasks that relate to implementation projects. Confers with client leadership to determine implementation needs and resolve problem situations. Effectively manages client expectations and demonstrates strong capability to persuade client to accept solutions to identified problems or deficiencies. Works with all levels of client leadership to ensure proper communication of project status and to identify and escalate issues as appropriate. Builds productive customer relationships, taking responsibility for customer satisfaction and loyalty. Communicates up and down within the Nuance and client organizations in an effective manner. Works with cross functional organizations. Utilizes knowledge of the Nuance methodology in organizing and managing projects. Analyzes Clients business needs and determine implementation project requirements. Clearly conveys information and ideas through a variety of media to individuals and groups in a manner that engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the message. Willing to work in nightshifts. Duties and Responsibilities: Provides leadership and direction to project team members. Leads and coordinates with team of implementation, technical and integration consultants in the delivery of one or more software applications across a healthcare enterprise. Plans and implements self- improvement activities to meet current and future needs. Provides timely follow- up. Utilizes basic knowledge of applications, operating system and technologies in achieving project objectives. Effectively manages one s time and resources to ensure that work is completed efficiently. Anticipates internalexternal customers needs when possible and respond quickly and accurately. Uses effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions. Anticipates problems and involvesenlist the help of others initiating corrective action. Takes action that is consistent with available facts, constraints, and probable consequences. Summarize outcome of discussions with customer to ensure that all requests or problems have been addressed. Achieving productivity targets. Required Skills: Knowledge of project management methods and techniques. Accomplished skills utilizing Microsoft Project. Good written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrates strong presentation skills and the ability to clearly articulate and communicate to an executive audience. Takes direction well and requires minimal supervision. Works well in a functional management organization where the Project Manager has primary responsibility for project success while relying on a team of resources which may not be directly reporting resources.
