Sr. Consultant IT Delivery Excellence

Job Description

As part of this team, the Sr. Consultant, IT Delivery Excellence - will play a pivotal role in setting up the Project Management Centre of Excellence including process, systems, reporting, and transformation. They will work with PMCoE Lead to define and document the Project Management process, facilitate onboarding of new resources , ensure compliance to the required processes, maintain repositories for Training and process documentation, own setup of Delivery Management tools , facilitate meetings and events, extract and prepare reports to review the current status of the projects, co-ordinate with various stakeholders to help identify and resolve issues, risks and action items. They will also play an important role in improving performance and efficiency of the existing processes through innovation and automation.Scope/Categories:Key Stakeholders: Global IT Project & Program Mgmt. Team, Global Leadership Team for IT Performance & Effectiveness, IT Delivery Team, IT HR & Recruitment TeamKey Accountabilities:

• Define and document / modify existing documentation of the required processes related to effective functioning of IT Project & program Management function using both Waterfall and Agile delivery model.
• Maintain repositories for Project Management and Agile delivery with relevant information, documentations, video training materials etc.
• Extract information from various systems CA Clarity, JIRA, Workday, SAP etc. to prepare various insightful reports to review the current status & progress of various initiatives, resource demands, Risks, Issues and action items.
• Co-ordinate Agile champion activities, engage in Enterprise Agile Health Reporting etc.
• Take ownership of Agile Delivery Management tools like JIRA setup new projects, monitor licenses, co-ordinate with vendors for troubleshooting and enhancements etc.
• Facilitate onboarding of new Project Managers and Scrum Masters in KC.
• Facilitate various meetings and other events, document minutes and track open issues, risks and action items to successful closure.
• Co-ordinate communication among multiple stakeholders to close open loops and help drive pending decisions to successful closure.
• Co-ordinate various Skill development trainings required for community members in the areas of Project Management, Agile Delivery, Knowledge on Business Functions and various cutting-edge technologies.
• Review existing project/program/portfolio management processes to identify opportunities for Digitization and efficiency improvement using Lean concepts and techniques and work on enhancing their performance once approved by Leadership team.
• Demonstrated ability to operate independently, to take initiative, be resourceful, and exercise astute business judgment to drive performance.
• Lead process communications in a matrix environment to increase adherence

Key Qualifications and Experiences:Basic Qualifications and Experiences

• Engineering Graduate in Computer Science/Information technology, or relevant.
• 10 years of Professional experience with a minimum of 5 years of IT Project/Program Management
• Working knowledge and experience of working with CA Clarity, Workday, SAP, JIRA, SharePoint etc.
• Demonstrated knowledge on Project Management processes including Waterfall/Agile/Hybrid methodologies.
• Must have working knowledge on Agile delivery using Scrum and Kanban.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience of working with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio etc.
• Good knowledge and experience in Process Improvement using Lean concepts and tools.
• Excellent communication skills, listening and negotiation skills
• Solid presentation, verbal/written communication, and inter-personal skills including the ability to: anticipate, influence & adapt to a wide range of audiences; cultivate relationships and leverage organizational understanding to facilitate decision making and buy-in.
• Verbal and written fluency in English is mandatory
• Can interact on equal terms with leadership and demonstrates objectivity and impartiality. Is adept at analyzing and resolving problems through above-average clarity of thought, attention to detail, observation and listening skills, and persistence. Focuses on key issues. Applies pragmatic judgement in the application of rules.

Preferred Qualifications and Experiences

• Automate manual reporting, validation and communication activities using VBAs (Macros).
• Have basic certifications on Agile Certified Scrum Master/ Professional Scrum Master.
• Working knowledge on Agile delivery using XP, DFD, TDD etc.
• Possesses mature interpersonal skills and can demonstrate the ability to deal tactfully and constructively with client staff at all levels.
