    Role Summary/Purpose:
      The Security Architecture team at GE Power works on a variety of projects and technologies to keep our business and our customers safe. This role will lead a team of Security Engineers to help business teams build secure software products, including strategic roadmap and adoption of automated processes and tools to reduce vulnerabilities.
    Essential Responsibilities:
      The role will also lead our public Cloud security strategy, including developing and deploying security controls in Cloud environments, delivering automation to secure application development pipelines, and ensure all security, regulatory and compliance requirements are being met in projects across the business. Serve as subject matter expert for all activities related to Cloud security and secure software development. Accountable for operational excellence of Cloud security and secure development program, processes and team with duties including project and operation reviews, feasibility, CBA, prioritization, execution and closure for all project work. Influence the IT organization in secure development and Cloud strategy, lead product teams to adopt and change. Lead strategy and implementation of tooling for secure software development and automation for Cloud security, risk and compliance controls. Lead implementation of CI/CD, containerization, Cloud and general Cloud security technologies architecture, automation and driving adoption of good security practices with these and other related tools. Define standards, controls and methods for secure software development, driving adoption across the business. Lead projects to drive the assessment, operationalization and adoption of new technologies, platforms, tools and frameworks. Develop the team as part of leading a team with responsibilities per above.
    Qualifications/Requirements:
      Bachelor s degree in Information Systems (IS), Information Technology (IT), Computer Science or Engineering from an accredited college or university; Minimum of 12 years of experience with a high-level programming language. Minimum of 10 years of experience in Information Technology Security and/or minimum of 5 years of experience with Cloud (e.g. AWS or Azure).
    Desired Characteristics:
      Leadership experience, with a focus on technical teams. Industry recognized security certification, such as CISA, CISM, CISSP, etc. Excellent knowledge of secure software development practices; SAST, DAST and OSS security. Knowledge of Cloud security patterns and experience with controls automation. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and security frameworks; NIST 800-53, SOX & GDPR. Working knowledge of OWASP Web/API vulnerabilities and compensating controls (CSRF, XSS, SQLI, etc.). Experience using a CI system to automate builds and integrating security tools. Experience performing code reviews and audits. Ability to handle multiple demands and tasks; able to prioritize workload. Ability to roll up your sleeves and complete tasks as necessary in leading the team. Demonstrated ability to work within a matrixed organization Creative problem solver with strong analytical skills. Strong oral and written communication skills able to communicate appropriately to audience.
