Job Description

SQL DeveloperThis role has been designated as Edge , which means you will primarily work outside of an HPE office.Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs, and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, or Internet- related computer programs, primarily for end users. Using current programming language and technologies, writes code, completes programming, and performs testing and debugging of applications. Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance. May interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.Defines high-impact, long-term supply chain architecture strategies at the global, regional and operational level. Establishes and manages cross-functional, cross-regional teams to design and implement end-to-end supply chain capabilities, network design and architecture strategies. Manages strategic supply chain models which translate physical and financial flows into business processes, implementing product and services supply chains into the companys business systems. Identifies, recommends, and implements opportunities for improvement across the supply chain. Partners with management and the extended organization to identify operational inefficiencies and new business opportunities. Develops recommendations based on benchmarking, financial results and statistical data. Communicates strategic direction to the organization.Responsibilities:

  • Performs analysis of technical requirements.
  • At least 7- years of experience with BASIS and MYSQL DB ideally with both Implementation and Support experience. Experience of both OS (Linux, Windows) and DB exposure (MYSQL).
  • Provision MySQL instances, both in clustered and non-clustered configurations, setting up and managing ETL jobs.
  • Ensure performance, security, and availability of database
  • Prepare documentations and specifications
  • Identify opportunities for improved performance in SQL operations and implementations
  • Handle common database procedures, such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, etc.
  • Perform technical troubleshooting to diagnose, isolate and correct data and database issues
  • data infrastructure and has a good understanding of IT procedures and practices
  • Health check of SQL Database, checking SQL alerts, disk spaces, failed jobs, failed logins etc.
  • Apply SQL patches whenever required.
  • Ability to troubleshoot/analyze and resolve technical problems, Knowledge/Experience in performance tuning, troubleshooting
Education and Experience Required:
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent with 8-10 years related technical experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Must have strong technical foundation and problem-solving skills.
  • Design and implement various backup and recovery strategies. Recovery of database with no or minimal data loss
  • Ability to work with virtual teams and across diverse cultures to deliver results - Candidate should have excellent technical communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Substantial experience in technical consulting, problem management and detailed analysis
  • Must possess a balance of very well-developed troubleshooting, technical communication and written skills along with extensive technical product knowledge and skills.
  • Understanding of SAP technologies and applications and UI tools (Power BI preferred).
