Are you ready to lead in this new era of technology and solve some of the worlds most challenging problems If so, lets talk.Your Role and ResponsibilitiesThe Global Business Services GIC Cloud Advisory Service Line is are seeking a Cloud Advisory Architects and Cloud Advisory Strategy Consultants to join our team. In this role, you will advise our clients on the enterprise transformation and complex modernizations of their applications for cloud and lead our clients in cloud adoption journey.The role requires the ability to work with the clients IT team, as well as C-level executives to demonstrate the cloud value proposition. This includes assessing the current application and infrastructure environment, performing a gap analysis, and recommending the to-be application solution architecture along with business case / economic model. As an Enterprise Transformation architect, you will be required to represent deep expertise on modernization of applications currently running on mainframes or traditional Java environments, transformation of mission critical applications needing re-architecture that goes beyond containerization or refactoring.You will use your knowledge of complex application architecture, mainframe applications and other platforms as a service offering in the market, cloud application architecture and best practices, API management, Microservices, DevOps, and cloud integration suites to advise our clients on their hybrid cloud journey and multi-speed IT. We are seeking a candidate who is able to design, architect and modernize mainframe applications and Java application development. Ability to work with and lead a global team and flexibility will be essential. Knowledge of Linux on IBM Z platform is required.IntroductionAs an IBM Solution Architect, you directly help clients transform their business and solve complex problems. You will define the scope and vision for projects that deliver customized solutions using your knowledge of IBM platforms. You are a technical leader, serving as a liaison among business partners, technical resources, and project stakeholders.

• Very strong leadership and communication skills exhibiting right negotiating posture with customer and program teams to make the right decisions.
• Experience in delivering application transformation projects for Java and mainframe applications, developing project plans and budgets for successful information technology projects, documenting and presenting recommendations to clients and/or stakeholders

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 18+ years of overall relevant IT experience in complex enterprise transformation including to Cloud and Digital
• 5+ years of consultative solution design and advising senior client executives as trusted advisors helping to transform enterprises
• 5 years of experience with Mainframe applications, Java application development, API and Microservices Frameworks and Container Execution and Orchestration Platforms
• 5 years of experience architecting and developing cloud application solutions, on RedHat OpenShift Platforms for cloud native architecture and deployment models will be added advantage.
• Experience leading one or more of the following areas of a Cloud transformation journey: strategy, design, application migration planning and implementation, Consultative-based selling of technology transformation projects
• Deep understanding of Cloud Security and Compliance, risk evaluation.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• 6 years of experience with mainframe applications, Java application development, API and Microservices frameworks and Container Execution and Orchestration Platforms
• 4 years of experience and working knowledge of Linux on IBM Z.2 years of experience and working knowledge of Linux on IBM Z.
• 8 years of experience consulting, experience in design cloud strategy operating model and developing business case for the client
• Deep understanding of Open source middleware and integration capabilities to accelerate Open Innovation
• At least 5+ years of experience coding in Java, Python, Ruby, Go, and Javascript frameworks, containerization and container management, architecting and developing cloud applications and DevSecOps and Continuous Integration Continuous Deployment
• 3+ years of experience in Cloud Service Management, DevSecOps methodologies, Site Reliability Engineering, Establish Application SREs for modernized application workloads
