Job Description

About This Role: Cohesity offers a web-scale, hyperconverged solution that delivers fast and flexible backup and recovery for primary storage. The solution has web-scale architecture and has the capability to dynamically adapt to varying workloads. Further the solution builds a global index allowing users to instantly search and perform actions on the objects. As part of this core team, you will be solving some of the most interesting problems that will motivate and challenge you. We are looking for experienced and exceptional Engineers who are up for the challenge of leading and building high quality distributed systems and solving complex problems. You have to tackle managing processing across hundreds of nodes across billions of entities while keeping time and resources under control and handling all failures gracefully. The solutions you build have to seamlessly work from a single node to large scale and across multiple hybrid cloud environments. Role and Responsibilities:

  • Architect, design, develop and maintain next generation backup and recovery for features on our large scale distributed systems platform
  • Collaborate with product management, other cross functional leads and teams on both technical and business strategy to shape the future product roadmap of for Cohesity s infinitely scalable platform.
  • Implement product features for on-prem and cloud platforms.
  • Drive accountability for test driven development, delivery of high quality features and resilient enterprise class solutions
  • Lead a culture of team ownership and direct individual and team accountability to continuously improve how they work and achieve results
  • Participating in Agile development scrum ceremonies.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience in building large scale distributed systems.
  • Degree in Computer Science (B.Tech or M.Tech or PhD preferred)
  • In depth knowledge of required programming languages C, C or GoLang
  • Strong data structures, design, algorithms, coding skills, analytical and problem solving skills
  • A fast learner and self-starter with intellectual horsepower
  • Experience with core technologies including NAS, filers, filesystems and Storage is a plus
  • Experience in VMware virtual technologies and Kubernetes is a plus
  • Experience working on Linux platform
  • Knowledge in Data protection domain - Backup, Restore, Replication, etc. is a plus
