If you have this type of passion, we invite you to take a look at the opportunities available to come join our team.Application Modernization/Migration Engineer The Role We are seeking a application modernization/migration engineer for various migration initiative for porting application software and driving the adoption of AMD EPYC technologies on-premises as well as clouds. In this role you will play a technical subject matter expert role and will be an integral part in the Software and Application Engineering team, working closely with ISVs and customers. You will champion the porting, migrating and optimization of software stack and application on AMD-based HW for running operating systems, containers, databases, analytics and other ISV apps and collaborate with customers to use AMD-powered infrastructure. You are the technical lead for optimizing software on AMD technology including a broad range of applications software running on AMD infrastructure. The applications include business analytics, relational and non-relational databases, management and monitoring tools, internet of things, and artificial intelligence for the edge, datacenter and cloud environments.Preferred Experience

• Significant hands-on expertise in optimizing and running SW engineering and migration tuning for x86 CPU server with Memory configuration and storage sub systems. Experience with application performance testing on Intel/AMD-powered Infrastructure.
• Experience in running migration initiative porting from non-AMD platforms to AMD platform and optimizing running of workloads on the clouds
• Deep knowledge of application code and deploying/testing workloads on AMD powered infra.
• Experience in creating optimal infrastructure configurations and optimization best practices or recommendations for various workload types on various infrastructure environments on-premise and Clouds.
• Technical issue management and product engineering feedback and influencer to for making AMD technology better
• Deep understanding of different software stacks including OS, DB technologies run on the clouds and ability to interpret benchmark results to applications tuning to all the way to AMD EPYC CPU level.
• Significant experience in modern applications, workload optimization, automation programming models for replatforming and modernization
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with experience in writing white papers, interacting with customers, partners and representing AMD technology to the ISVs
• Ex-Intel and software migration and hands-on coding experience is preferred

Academic Credentials

• Min BS or MS in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field
