Development and support includes the requirement understanding, design & development, testing, performance tuning, enhancements, defect analysis and fixing in the application involves in the database / backend side.The candidate should be database expert possessing strong skills in designing and implementing database objects in Oracle database. Familiarity in Java technology will be added advantage.The candidate should have interest and flexibility in learning different areas both in technical & functional based on the project requirements.The candidate must have strong interpersonal skills that foster close collaboration with various partners throughout the business and technology teams.Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Design and Develop database tables, indexes, procedures, functions, triggers
• Understanding the business requirements and converting to the technical requirements
• Provide plans and estimation of the development tasks assigned
• Analyse the support queries / defects raised related to the data areas and provide solutions
• Running Query / Trace analyser and tuning on poor performing queries
• Review the runtime AWR reports and provide long term solutions for badly designed queries / database objects
• Provide the status update to the reporting manager and in the status meetings as appropriate
• Communicate effectively in verbal & written communications
• Be proactive in identifying and communicating the risks
• Collaborate and communicate well with the internal and global teams as required
• Provide ongoing support for level three production issues

Minimum Job Specifications

• 3-5 years of professional experience in a database
• Solid experience in DBE role involved in design and development various database objects and maintaining the database model
• Solid experience in running query analysis tools and identify the improvement areas for the slow performing queries
• Experience working in the development and maintenance of large applications preferably finance applications
• Familiarity in Java Technologies and framework will be added advantage
• Working experience in all the phases of the project
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required to liaise with the business, developers, QA, and operations
• Strong analytic, debugging, problem solving and collaborative skills
• Good exposure to the ER diagrams
• Bachelor s degree or equivalent related work experience

Technical Skills

• Excellent in Oracle Database
• Excellent in SQL / PLSQL
• Good experience in PL/SQL Developer and query analyser tools
• Familiar to Unix
• Good experience to the UI / Java technologies is preferable
