In this role, you will create possibilities, solve problems, and establish working relationships with our customers. You will help our customers invest in solutions from across the Red Hat portfolio that will give them a competitive advantage. Youll support field sales account managers in developing accounts and businesses across the financial services sector. As a Senior Solutions Architect, youll need to apply your technical expertise, passion for open source, thorough understanding of business processes, and ability to identify and create business solutions across multiple technology platforms at the enterprise level. Youll also need excellent communication and people skills because youll be a crucial part of the first impression our customers have with Red Hat. Successful applicants must reside in a country where Red Hat is registered to do business. Primary job responsibilities

  • Work with the sales team to create complex Red Hat based solutions and services for customers to enable their success
  • Meet revenue goals, deployment, and service objectives while sustaining good relationships with prospects and customers
  • Build, design, and present complex solutions to customers
  • Collaborate with product teams and the Product Engineering, Professional Services, and Sales teams to ensure excellent customer experience with our offerings and solutions
  • Serve as a trusted subject matter expert for the customers, gain trust of IT professionals, and build long-lasting relationships within our key accounts
  • Prepare detailed product specifications and implement customer installation plans
  • Demonstrate expertise by delivering whitepapers and conference speeches; share knowledge with your team members to allow them to learn from your work
Required skills
  • 5+ years of experience working as a sales engineer, consultant, solutions architect, or in a relevant role; experience in presales
  • Knowledge of UNIX or Linux systems, preferably in Red Hat platforms like Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Red Hat Satellite, or other related technologies
  • Knowledge of open source cloud Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) solutions like Red Hat OpenStack Platform and container native virtualization
  • Knowledge of open source applications platforms, patterns, and technologies like Red Hat OpenShift, integration, and API management and other runtime type technologies
  • Knowledge of technologies like clustering, directory services, and identity management
  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to present and have technical and business discussions with C-level executives
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%
