Job Description

Project Description Beckman Coulter is looking for a Technical leader to join our product software team developing web based Analytics applications using ReactJS and plotly. You ll need to be well versed in object-oriented design and web technologies.You will drive continuous improvement through application of Danaher Business Systems.Essential job responsibilities:You will be responsible for designing, developing and testing of Beckman Coulter s next generation analytics software products.

  • Assess and communicate the technical feasibility of features.
  • Perform User Experience (UX) / User Interface design, code development, unit testing, performance analysis, integration and other relevant activities.
  • Understand and lead integration points with other systems that interface with your applications
  • Support code merging and branching strategy, automated unit tests, automated builds, and deployments
  • Take ownership, deliver on time, and drive end-to-end quality with effective automation of unit level, component level and system level testing following Agile lean software development processes.
  • Contribute to an engineering-wide culture of innovation and quality.
  • Provide run time operational support of web applications
  • Support and maintain various software documents.
  • Partner with other teams to provide exceptional solutions that adhere to, or create, standards across teams.
  • Minimal travel as needed
  • Attend morning/night meetings with global team in multiple locations on a weekly basis.
Education/Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or Master s degree in Software Engineering or Information Science/Technology or a related field with 4+ years experience.
Must Have:
  • Single Page Application
  • Strong coding abilities and experience with HTML/CSS/javascript/jQuery/AJAX plus one or more of the following javascript frames (Twitter Bootstrap, Node.js, Angular, React.js)
  • Application Server experience (Express)
  • Linux
  • Good understanding of web services and SOA related standards like REST/JSON
  • Skilled with computer science fundamentals, Data Structures, algorithms, Object Oriented Concepts and Design Patterns.
  • Ability to work with customers and user representatives to understand their needs and translate them into successful solutions
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Must be proactive, self-directed, detailed and organized
  • Ability to work in a fast paced development environment.
  • Experience in understanding large and complex code cases, including API design techniques to help them clean and maintainable. .
  • A strong awareness in software security

  • D3.js

  • AWS Cloud experience
  • Agile Scrum Experience
  • Basic understanding of statistics
  • Hadoop/Big Data
  • CI and CD (Jenkins)
  • Basic understanding of Java / J2EE / JEE5 along with SQL and database design
