The position requires a well- rounded individual who has a proven ability to deliver results in a fast- growing environment. The ideal candidate would be an Excel and Groovy expert, with experience of building and supporting tools. Preference will be given to candidates that have knowledge of Pricing Tools (e.g. PriceFx, Vendavo, Pros). They should also be interested in using their data and analytics skills to support other projects such as pricing analytics and market research.
Core Responsibilities:
Configuration of Pricing Rules Engine (PriceFx/Groovy) Move manual excel based processes to PriceFx Support the development Price Waterfalls and Pricing Rules Work with Pricing Operations on process and integration improvements Configure pricing logic in PriceFx Recommend Master Data improvements Support training and change management Gain an understanding of pricing concepts Develop an understanding of VMware products, licensing metrics, go- to- market models and competitive positioning. Additional Responsibilities:
Develop pricing analytics to enable List Price, Discounting and Program optimization Support pricing research projects including end- customer focus groups, surveys, and conjoint analyses. Partner with cross functional partners in Product Management, Sales Operations, Partner Operations, Finance, Legal, Supply Chain, and Support to evaluate and implement pricing recommendations Support key pricing related projects and programs Perform ad hoc analyses and tasks Required Skills

Advanced Excel and VBA Programming Experience with object- oriented programming (Groovy) Process design and documentation Program and project management Strategic thinker with a high attention to detail and accuracy Excellent communicator who can distill and present complicated concepts Should have an interest in technology with ability to learn about the cloud infrastructure and end user computing market Familiarity with pricing principles, business models, and route- to- market concepts. Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering or a related field Preferred Skills
