Senior Business Manager - Meesho Meesho is looking for an experienced Senior Business role to launch and scale a sizable category business for Meesho. You will own the growth of this category, from deciding the right selection and pricing strategy, to shaping the user experience, and partner with product and ops to build a relevant product. You will work in ambiguity, building and communicating a clear approach and ensuring that we are balancing customer needs, competitive landscape and the strategic priorities constantly. There are some skills you will be expected to bring to the role: 1. Strong problem discovery to break down 10x opportunities and also figure hygiene areas of improvement for the category and Meesho business as a whole 2. High ownership to plan and deliver on business related goals: thinking like an entrepreneur and managing all your dependencies. 3. Hands-on with teams: Ability to motivate and lead teams that is sourcing supply and managing demand effectively . 4. Ruthless prioritization skills between immediate, medium and long term goals. 5. Candor and strong communication to align stakeholders on the long term vision for your category/ Meesho business to succeed . 6. Data Rigour to identify points of failure or even success areas to double down on Some of the focus areas will include : - Develop a thorough understanding of the product and category, customer behavior and existing gaps in the market while monitoring new developments in the competitive landscape - Build a selection strategy and plan to solve existing gaps for customers and seller strategy to execute on the selection plan - Drive and communicate clear launch plans, work with stakeholders across teams and deliver to the launch plan. Internal stakeholders you will work with include product and tech, fulfilment, experience and user growth. - P&L optimization and planning - own business operational strategy including both financial and operational inputs/outputs, forecasting, monitoring, and reporting. - Clear, effective communication to present customer backward view, decision points or data based arguments that enable delivering on the goal.- Relentless program management to deliver on critical goals in compressed time frame You will be one of the few senior category folks to own strategic pieces, that decide the roadmap for Meesho business plans over the next 5 years e.g. new businesses to launch, roadmap for sale events, outside-in research of consumer wallet share, etc. Basic Qualifications : - Contextual understanding of e-commerce business - At least 6 years of experience - Demonstrated ability to drive partnerships, take initiatives and manage complex projects and teams - Strong analytical skills and ability to work with a lot of detail - Strong academic background - Demonstrated fast track career growth (promotions and recognitions) - Entrepreneurial and/or general management /management consulting experience is preferred Meeshos work culture values:- Thinking 10x, thinking long term - Speed over perfection - Company>team>individual - Standing up and speaking minds - User and problem first mindset Why Meesho Meesho is a pioneer in the Indian social commerce marketplace enabling anyone to start their small business in India & sell online.
